Hang in there bud, youll feel so much better ones its all done.
Put it on the back burner and pick the peices up slowly if need be, then maybe fitting wont be such the task you think it is.
You only essentially need the engine, the box works and the ECU will work, will work better with a 2ltr chip (if you cant get a willy ECU). The ECU will plug straight in, the engine will flop straight in, the driveshafts will be fine as they are quite beefy std anyway.
Get the pics up and well have a gander and see if i cant point any bits out that should be touched and not touched etc etc.
tip.
You can usually get better port picks by turning the flash off and shining a really bright lamp into the ports from the chamber side, ala my sig.
Dont forget...
I think he means that he can save the money lol
Yea, i wonder who is a qualified welder, i think i have a mate that does it, but hes a bit of a c**k, and i dont think his welding is really that good.
I mean, ill probably end up with wavy wings from the heat.
Crap, then ill have to go get...
I still dont see how it makes the engine unleaded compatable.
My dads been using it, but the valve seats still went (its an alloy head with inserts, but the inserts arent tough enough as std).
He now runs an additive.
Nice going!
The ports dont actually need to be any bigger though, its the shape your going for. And about 50% of your flow gain will come from the proper valve seat configuration. Dont forget to replace your guides aswell as i assume youve ground these down.
As for mirror finishing, dont...
Yea, not a fan of green stuff, and not a fan of DOT5.1 fluid as its very hydroscopic and absorbs water fast. SO its service life is short......hang on a mo, you said DOT 5......thats silicone fluid.
If your willing to pay for it, pagid RS blues, or some PF 90.
If not you shuld be quite happy with 1155s for just track use or DS3000s.
But a good flushof the system with Castrol super DOT 4 syth fluid usually cures most.
