I just want somewhere to buy the paint from really. However if there was somewhere reasonable that didn't cost the earth, then maybe I'd look into that. However after a few bad jobs I currently trust myself more than most garages.
Need some paint for my bumper (BG 182) dthen possibly for my wheels. Only been down here just over a year or so and I dont really know where to get paint from. Seen somewhere in Pontefract on the net and one place in Bentley, but can anyone reccomend me somewhere to get some paint matched and...
It must have been the water. Had another look under there and took it around the block. Think I'll get it checked soon anyway as it's made me paranoid.
Just been washing my car, moved it over from the other side of the road and everything was fine. Then I started washing it and had to move it back slightly as someone was changing a tyre in front of my car and as I did I got a kind of screech or squeal lasting a few seconds and I turned the car...
No idea tbf, but you'd be better off posting it in here: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?77-Suspension-Brakes-Wheels-amp-Tyres and doing a search to see if anyone else has posted similar.
People might also be a bit slow to reply today as it's the French Car Show and many will be...
I often have to drive one of a few Pug vans at work (Boxer, Bipper, Expert) and used to drive an older VW Caddy on occasions and jumping back into the 182 after driving those really makes you appreciate it more.
I wasn't even impressed by a 09 plate TDCI Focus Titanium my manager has when I...
Painted the spare wheel in rover stone grey, after the idiots at the place I had the rear quarter repaired ages ago managed to paint it something looking more like a blue than grey (long long story).
This. Then it's up to you really. If you want to remain in a 172/182 then you've already got one that needs an engine(providing your car is ok apart from the engine). Whether you spend more money on the car rather than another 172/182 matters not, because that money is gone. What matters is that...
Cheers. My compressor is quite small, almost unused. From what I've read it'll do panels no problem but would struggle with a full car, which is fine by me. However I'm wondering about some kind of filter for water in the air as I don't think its currently got one or would that not really be an...
Hello. I'm eventually going to paint my bumper but for now I'd starting on an alloy. I've done bits of painting on old cars before with aerosols (basically bits of bodging), but never with a spray gun and compressor (which I now have).
So basically to get started I realise I need to sand/strip...
Where do you drive it, for how long etc?
Mine is pretty terrible in short runs in town of around 1.5miles to 2miles as it never properly gets warmed up. Just changed my Lambda and it's improved slightly but not a lot, mid 20's at the moment (was lower 20's at best, only done a week or so of it...
Rather than start my own thread: I have an alloy that had a terrible paint job by a company who repaired the rear quarter on my car. They offered to paint it so I could use it as a spare as I was provided with a new wheel as part of the repair (long long story).
They painted it what I can only...
TBH whilst I slightly preferred a Cup splitter (one I paid £110 for) I didn't like how brittle it was, as one brush with a curb and it was in three pieces. Skoda one is much more flexible and much much cheaper, I'd not buy another Cup one even if it was half the price.
*it went through an MOT
Needs some front discs and pads on. Advisory on the failure sheet for the discs, but I haven't done them yet. The tester who has just and eventually passed it got quite arsey that I hadn't done them yet (he didn't take the first MOT) saying how if I'd took it to a garage...
Dont even try it, it's just not worth it. I had bush puller, sockets etc on the case and a bit heat and the centre bit of the bearing would not even budge. Apparently many of the cheaper bearings are made of chocolate anyway.
*also and I'm not sure how true this is:
*you can get genuine...
It's got gear oil all over it after doing the nearside bottom ball joint for MOT and the driveshaft coming out and it needs another litre or so in.
Need to do driverside CV boot clip (jubilee clip, just done the nearside).
Exhaust needs lining up a bit better after I bodged the hangers.
I just...
