Couldn't be bothered putting the trim back in, and I swore quite some time ago that Renault mechanics wouldn't touch my car again, so did the work myself.
For those who may have the same problem and have just run a search, the part number needed is R82 00 060 917, it cost £46.01 inc. VAT - so...
Don't be so negative! Hopefully it's just a missing wheel weight that's got loose. Get them checked. If not and you feel you've genuinely been ripped off, speak to the seller first (calmly) and see if you get your money back. If all else fails - I say name and shame!
Was the £200 price from a Renault dealer? If so you could try http://www.gsfcarparts.com/ for a better deal. You'd have to speak to Prima to find out if they'll squeel - it'll be down to the pads used. The rear brakes don't do a great deal on the RS Clios - despite my fronts being changed 4...
Spigot rings should not be necessary, the centre bore should be the same as your 15's. Sorry to say it, but I'd get the balancing checked again or check that the 16's aren't buckled.
That's how much my first service was, the prices are truely laughable - the guy across the road from me has a Porsche, he paid only a few pounds more from a Porsche dealer for similar work. Mine only sees a specialist now-a-days!
The answer to my question is - yes, they are expensive. My local stealer wants £63.64 for the part! And they won't touch it under warrenty as the car is not exactly as Renault sold it to me! I wonder if I could claim that the interior just fell out? Surely it wouldn't be the first...
The 182 was developed on these tyres. The tyres were 'tuned' as Michelin say to the car. Until tyre development moves on significantly (which it will) I will be sticking with these.
I'm sure in France you can get an instant ban now if you go too far over the speed limit. Happened to an Evo road tester a while back. I think the ban was two days - luckily he had a passenger to complete the trip through France. From Le Mans goers I also hear they have a tendancy to smash radar...
Car looks great, just needs the caf painted black, or black with a yellow highlight around the lip to make it perfect imo. A set of Recaros for the front should also be in order, mine will be for sale very soon... ;)
Have stripped the interior and now the boot doesn't lock. Ive got the the two speaker connectors idle and another that I have no idea where it goes (it won't reach anything I can see anyway), have also fiddled with the wiring that runs in the rear bumper to the number plate lights to stop the...
Fair play - just re-read that you're after a Trophy, not so much choice about! I'd say that the Maxogen and the Yozzasport exhaust are your best option for that budget. As for the chip, I can't comment - but I'm looking myself at the moment for something suitable - I just can't help thinking...
If it was my money it'd be going on option two, but I think it'd cost more than £900 unless you get any of the parts second hand.
Isn't the Yozzasport exhaust the best part or more than £500? And the Maxogen around £350?
I had these on my old Trophy Turinis - they fit, but do not offer any rim protection. The rims remain very exposed as they were notably thinner than the exalto 205's. Fine if you're running them as track only or if you're careful. I ran mine on the road for a while - loads of fun - loads of...
Like most of the front, but can't understand the bubble in the centre, hating the side skirts, but didn't you buy the car like that anyway? Like the wheels too and the colour!
