I've got a 54 plate 182, had connects2 ipod fitted before I got it but the cable fell apart. Can you just get a new cable for the box? Or can I just get one of these £6 eBay green plug to aux leads?
Thanks.
That's me, my first spotted!
Ah you let me cross the road, thanks! Luckily it's just the front splitter that catches.. Pretty much everywhere!
Noticed your BM - Lovely!
Are you local?
I agree with this tbh. If it doesn't look s**t, which some of the carbon wrap can do.. But some can look very good.
I think a bit of it is willy waving..
Nothing.
Unfortunately this time of year there's a lot of pollen/dust in the air.
If its not too bad you could QD it or if its bad, wash it again.
FinishKare 425 has Anti-Static properties, apparently. Maybe worth a go.
I'm happy to admit I'm still very new to the detailing game, and not all that serious about it.. I don't even own a DA/Machine Polisher yet.
But, liked the look of the beading and wanted to see the difference between the 4 QDs I currently own :)
True.. But must add something, as seen in the pictures?
Gloss - Pretty much all the same tbh. Think the Megs felt softest to touch, but not very nice to apply.
Finger prints - No one gets near my car! lol.
Not sure tbh. I see 3 different types of beading, on 3 different panels that were applied with 3 different QDs. All were applied with the same LSP.
I know it's not rock solid evidence, but I found it interesting. It's still raining here now, so will see how it looks later when it's...
So, there are so many different QDs around it's difficult to know what is good, whats not good, what different finishes they give etc.
I've currently got a few QDs;
AG Rapid Detailer
FK #425
PB Spray & Shine (IIRC)
Megs Ultimate QD
The car was clayed/IronX/Tardis etc. Washed and...
Thanks!
Could make them a little smaller and cover them in rubber I guess. Depends how you'd want to finish them.. I done mine in the same colour as the car.
It's 'Uni Bond Power Putty' so like Fibreglass. Could easily make them and rather than spend hours sanding could just cover them in Leather.. Easily remove them and recover in leather if it wears.
Ah right! Thanks for that. Bought 10 MFs from eBay for £7, feel very soft so will try the CD test. The Kent ones from B&Q feel pretty rough compared to them..
Seen the thread on DW about it.. I was tempted by some, but just bought some AG Rapid and Megs QD in the Halfords 3 for 2 to try out. Heard good stuff about the Megs stuff.. And the AG was only £7.
