    I always go for Yokos as theyre very cheap for their performance... in the dry. But I hardly drive my car in the wet and lesser still drive it fast in the wet, so it doesnt matter to me.

    If its after 31st December 1992, then you need a cat (AFAIK). I bought a de-cat about three months ago and its one of the best VFM mods you can do. Sounds a bit Nova-esque if you drive on part throttle, but sounds absolutely awesome on full acceleration!

    If an engine is well looked after, then it will perform as well (if not better given BenJs 16v example) at 130k miles than at 30k miles.

    Had a Mk1 Clio 1.2 (18-21) Then a Mk1 Clio 16V (21-for ever??) Have always had the use of a Volvo 340 1.4 (lovely car, blows away the Valver;)) and recently the use of a Volvo S40 and 960 - all parents cars.
