If you're using 240v 5A fuse wire my guess is that it'll never blow, just melt your electrics! ;)
Fuses blow for a reason, to bypass a fuse is asking for trouble.
If you're sure it's the central locking blowing the fuse then you'll have to start disconnecting the motors to eliminate them...
I don't think CK is an import.
The only ways to check are the alarm, locking wheel bolts and window etching.
If it doesn't have all those then it is probably imported.
There was no thread/bolt in my centre hanger when I removed it. I'd suggest that it has been fitted incorrectly, maybe now that it's been cut it's actually too short and will continue to drop off it's hanger? :S
I'd definitely be taking it back whilst it's till under warranty!
You could try it but I have no idea to be honest I just know of someone that had this issue. They took it to Renault who diagnosed to oxygen sensor fault and replaced it at a cost of around £200 if I remeber correctly.
