Just for future reference they're connected into the same wires as the doors speakers (and branch off the loom just near where the loom exits the main body to go to the doors.)
Hi, are you sure the exhaust is all OEM?
The reason I ask is you've got slash cut tips which isn't normal for a 182. Also, from the underneath view of your system the mid section is different to my OEM system- you appear to have an extra flex join and a different centre resonator to what my...
I actually read a review on Tire Rack recently comparing lightweight wheels to heavy stockers and they commented that the ride was actually worse.
Most likely because the heavier wheels forced the tyre to flex more and absorb more of the harshness?
I've just swapped my 182 Cup over to 15x7 rims with 205/50R15 Bridgestone RE11 tyres and am VERY happy with the change. Outright cornering grip is better than my PE2's (which were only 1/2 to 2/3 worn). The ride comfort is a lot better (roads are shocking in Australia) with the jarring and...
A few guys in Australia have found their water pumps have been leaking a bit when getting the belts done. Water pumps aren't very expensive so I'll be changing mine when it's due.
I've got Focal 6.5" Polyglass components in the front of mine and they are fantastic (with no amp.) A huge improvement in bass and clarity.
I helped a friend install some Polk 5.25" components in his Phase 1 172 a couple of weeks back and they sounded excellent too. Nice and clear, he said the...
Do a search and you'll find old posts on it. I initially panicked thinking it had somehow been dented!
PS: Most people don't realise their manifold is like that because you literally have to get your head right underneath that section of the exhaust to see the indentation. I certainly had no...
You'll basically be losing 8mm of clearance between the tyre shoulder and guards. On a stock height Cup there looks to be plenty of space, but 50mm lower could be interesting?
I'm going to be running the same off set 15" wheels with 205/50 tyres as soon as I buy some tyres to fit my rims! But...
I just had a look at a pic of mine and it appears to sit higher at the front than the one above! The pic I'm looking at would have been taken when it had done around 13000km, no idea on fuel.
What brake pads are you running? I used some metallic pads on my old 4WD and ended up with the alloys being ruined from brake dust particles embedding themselves through the clear coat. :(
I haven't been able to find a place that has the Ixell codes to mix it up.
I tried Emailing that place that people have been buying it from in the UK but they've ignored me. :(
RSTuner. Excellent value for money because you also get the data logging and diagnostics capabilities.
You will notice a significant difference in the way it will drive after remapping. It will pull to the redline a lot smoother and the annoying cold start function will be tamed.
Bathust has sucked ever since they changed it to a "two brand" race, Ford vs Holden. Years ago you had everything competing from the Jags above through to Corollas, Skyline GTRs, Minis- you name it they could race! It was far more interesting.
Personally I find it boring now. :(
Bring back...
What were the "extreme" shocks fitted to?
I actually fully removed my rears before the warranty expired and checked them out of the vehicle. No leaks and they were "stiff as" to extend and compress. (A little less rebound damping would probably improve things over decent bumps? Both front and...
I find it a bit too hard for Australian roads. Mid corner bumps when pushing a bit can be disconcerting......
Going to 15" rims might help a bit with 205/50 tyres? Or getting some better shock absorbers- although the selection is very limited thanks to the different front hub bolt spacing. :(
60.06mm is the correct hub measurement- google that and "spigot rings" and you should get plenty of hits.
The centre bore on your OZ rims might be 68.x mm - I've been looking into getting some (Ultraleggeras) and the quote states:
I also asked and they do supply metal spigot rings with them...
My RS192 certainly expands in length when hot. Most people just don't notice that their systems do it. ;)
Mine does sit a bit too far in when cold IMHO (and each side isn't quite even in length- I need to see if I can even it up a bit.)
If you want to keep your speedo accurate then you'll need 205/50R15 tyres, these are the best option to keep the overall diameter close to the stock 205/45R16.
Plug some figures into this website and you'll get actual measurements and speedo errors ;) ...
