argh... having lots of trouble removing the top of the strut in the bonnet area... got the allen key in there, goose neck spanner around the bolt, no matter how hard i turn it wont budge!!! any tips?!

the rat has been a beast too, just fitted the new buckets as you can see from the pics the other...
ok, got me some bucket seats today, mk1 subframes, which apparently bolt on to the original sliders.... how the hell do i get the top of the seat off so just have the slider to bolt it too???
just cant see what to undoe etc...?

ok, i am going to be dropping the RSi/1.8RT engine in to my 1.4...
my insurance group is a 5 and the 1.8RT which the engine will be out of (;) ) is a insurance group 6/7 ....
how do they work out the insurance for dropping in this engine, basically going to say my bottom end has gone...
i am seriously considering dropping the 1.8 8v engine in to my RT, as far as i am aware i will need the engine, gearbox, radiator, downpipe but other than that everything would be ok?
how easy is this conversion to do, timescale, tools etc..?

how stupid is the design, where the exhaust mounts from the back box from there is goes over the axle with a mount there which is poor to say the least, then from the point on where it bends there is nothing there until the middle of the car to mount it so it just flops down!! what do you guys...
whats the usual cause, my clio seems to be loosing alot of coolant recently, have to keep topping it up!! just gave it a full oil change and filter change that it needed, topped up the coolant again...
i know my timing belt needs doing as i have gone past 70k which is what it needs to be done...
ok, on wednesday im getting my brakes sorted, getting the renault 5GT (RSi) brakes, brembo pads etc...
is there anything that i need to bear in mind for fitting, like removing the brake lines, how can i stop the fluid pouring out of them and so on...
also, for changing the discs, those...
posting this on behalf of a mate, basically he has just fitted a clutch in to his car, it will go in to gear when the engine is off, but wont when it is running??
(yes he is pressing the clutch) lol

ok, got my avo's delivered yesterday, had a god look at them today, thinking to my self, how the fook do i put them all together, so many little pieces, which way do they go!!!!

anything that can be done to help reduce it, i have brand new tyres on, still understeering...bearing in mind my car is extremely low which probably doesnt help it out handling wise, but i have avo coilovers coming tommorow, and koni rear shocks so that should help...

how do i do it and what do i need, i need my RT brakes to fit as im runing 13" wheels.... do i just need the hubs and id it a hard job to do, spotted some 16v coilovers i would like but need to know what it is gona take to fit them?

what to get, anyone got any info on what these are like for the mk1s, thinking about uprating the shocks as the rear ones are fooked...
avo seem slightly dearer, but are they worth it? they are adjustable aswell unlike the apex?

well, my mk1 seems to be very creaky at the back right, the torsion bar has been lowered and ever since when someone sits on the rear of the boot or stands on it the back right area creaks like hell, does it and can hear inside the car too...
sounds like rubber. maybe the bushes? or a fubared...
basically i have very dangerous brakes, its a mk1 RT...
i have had my brakes bled, new discs/pads but the brakes dont seem to have any give... it slows gently when pushing the pedal down but it gets to a point when they just lock on... it is not so bad in the dry but in the wet they lock up...
made a little vid of my car with its new zaust, tis a magnex full system (with cat as de cat would not fit)...
sounds really raspy, cant really tell on idle, but with revs sounds ace!
