I've used the small VW rad on a road car, running High compression. It's absolutely fine.
They're a completely different construction to the standard rad, so although it appears they are small, due to amount of extra cooling fins, they actually have at least as large a surface area, if not...
there's not enough weight to the rear to need an upgrade. There's actually quite a heavy restriction to the rears, if they're less restricted the car will change ends under braking
I've been at the store for the last 4 COD midnight releases. Really not that bothered tonight. I'll pop over to tescos in MK tomorrow and they'll have hundreds, just like every other time
I'm pretty confident they'll be of the same quality as ssautochrome/xspower manifolds that have been around for years on jap cars. Poor fit, welds that crack and badly machined/warped flanges
haha, we used to treat MK like you treat oulton park ;) never even really looked round the cruise, all about getting there, eat, then back home. Stupid and dangerous really, but back just a few years, we had rather different attitudes. Nearly put a car in Willen lake once.
Nope, Jay called me...
hang fire until I've sorted this one out. I'm in contact with both ktec and the distributor so can share relevent info.
This set isn't under warranty as the company that fitted them doesn't exist anymore and there's some confusion over what has even been done. Customer was told a few things...
seems to have been a batch of springs that were too short at some point. Got a car in at the moment with a set of these (not fitted by us) that are an alternative set of rears someone has tried and made it worse. We're sorting it with the distributor currently for this car.
