Just fitted all mine today, looks great colour coded. Just need to get my 182 grill on which Renault should have for me on friday and the externals will be finished I think. Quite fancy some xenons though .
Got them off in the end, wasn't actually that hard it just takes a LOT of brute force and ignorance but they come off in the end.
Its pretty simple just used harry_manback's guide to see where the clips where and wahey off they came in the end.
Looks SO much better colour coded.
It'd probably be easier just to use:

But if you want to use the alpine adapter then...
If I had used the ones on my car it would have been £120~, but I had got hold of a spare set which some tool had tried to paint them bodge style so it ended up costing me £200 because of the extra prep work involved. Could have used the ones on my car but I didn't want to drive around without...
Right, i've got the side strips off the fabric trick worked really well, just got a bit of rag behind it and pulled and off it popped.
The problem i've got now is that I can't get the rear bumper section off, I can get it to the point of the big tab/clip thing being half out but the inside...
The 1.2 16v would be fine for a first car, more than power enough for the car just don't expect it to go anywhere that fast but its more than enough for the size of car without feeling underpowered.
The only problem I can see is that you list your max price as £3000 and I don't think you'll get...
I've had a spare set of bumpstrips colour-coded and i've recieved them back today, I tried to fit them earlier but ran into a bit of trouble getting the old ones off.
What have people used to get them off ?, my hands weren't good enough and I don't want to use anything to lever them off that...
The previous owner of my car has had this done does look good everytime without waxing/polishing.
Apparently according to the leaflet it lasts 3 years with the one thats been done in mine, the interiors been done too whatever that entailed.
Bump, anyone else know / have an opinion. I know it'll physically fit its just whether its big enough a filter for the 1.6, otherwise you'd think it would be listed for the 1.6 as well and the 1.4 on the simota site.
Yes it is indicative of head gasket failure, its water in the oil which usually means the hg has failed and coolant is leaking into the oil.
In this case its not, its just a bit of moisture that gets into the oil filler area its nothing to be worried about its just a triat of the engine. I...

Hes after a shuttle and there a barebones pc they come case, psu and motherboard so you just pick the one for the cpu type and chipset you want to use.
Ahh I see, has done a fair few miles though and look how dirty the engine bay is (not a problem I know but it'd put me off). Still someone got a good deal.
edit: Climates knackered too and it won't be cheap to fix.
Its fine, my old 1.2 16v did it all the time, over numerous oil changes and it did plenty of long journeys never lost any coolant or showed any other symptons of hgf.
Its a trait of the D4F engine apparently, had me worried the first time it did it too...
Granted an 02 172 ain't worth £9k but its worth more than that, more like ~£5.5-6k.
If they were that cheap i'd have one as the other 3k would have payed for the insurance!
Its not a big a one as it sounds.

Now I can see that it says its for the 1.4, but seeing as...
Never heard of it before and you want to pray its not c. I've just had to replace my gearbox input shaft oil seal and the clutch and getting the gearbox off is major fun and I would imagine the 2.0l is worse.
Same thing, it shouldn't happen to a 3yr old car on 28k, especially seeing as clutches...
