Kept my 1.2 for 10 months or so before I felt the need for more speed, wanted a 172 but insurance had other ideas.
Would imagine this one'll last until next may or so when i've got (hopefully) another years ncb and then its 172/182 time. Though I may just crack and buy one early and pay the...
You've got to have the interior door card off (not as bad as it sounds), then you can get to the 2 bolts that hold the handle on, then detact the link bar to the lock and then you can unclip the handle and take it off the door.
The whole process is just as much fun as it sounds!, took me about...
Seeing as the comps have been replaced and still do it i'd say its probably going to be the amp. Would've been the first thing i'd have tried.
If its not thats when it'll get interesting.
First time everytime so far with the the 1.2 and 1.6, although the 1.6 does need a bit more cranking to get it to start than the old 1.2 did. Its only about half a sec but it makes all the difference, just put it down to the engine having more internal weight to get spinning.

Colour coded with rs grill, should have xenons by the end of the week when they turn up. Will have to get some new pics when there fitted, hopefully get the washers fitted too when I can be arsed.
Not a fan of the Ph3 front bumper I must say...

What have people done about the oil breather that feeds into the black box plenum thingy that connects to the throttle body on the 1.4 16v and 1.6 16v engines ?
Just thinking about fitting one of those bmc dia's...
Yeh, i've just measured mine to about 70mm or so. Had it changed under warrenty a couple of months ago wouldn't have thought it would have changed but it definetly aint 55mm.
Anyone know the diameter of the 1.6 16v (k4m) engine throttle body ?
Have been looking at this : http://www.bmcairfilters.com/VisDetail.asp?ID=507
And want to know if the hose will fit the throttle body.
edit: http://home.vr-web.de/seegi/Umbau/Umbauengl.html <--- Acording to that its 55mm...
Trouble with straightening them out is that the metal is already weakend from being bent, so it'll just bend again twice as easy if you straighten them.
I've always jacked off the subframe and then put the axle stands on the front sills with a bit of wood in between the sill and stand, hasn't...

Colour coding is a must do thing, looks so much better without it.
Might as well pickup an rs grill while there cheap(ish) there £42.30 from a renault dealer. Civic arial is a nice touch too, looses the rc car look. Silvervisions are a must too...
Accurate enough for what I want which is basically just a mess around, wouldn't be using it for measuring industry standard times for the reasons above.
Not sure about WM but if you've got a S60 symbian phone : http://www.tempes.com/
I'd have thought something else was avaliable somewhere for windows mobile.
The renault bracket for the underseat mounting costs about £7 iirc. Is worth getting for the more pro look, i've got my alpine changer bodged onto it atm.
If anyone wants to retrofit it then the wiring it already there, as far as I can see the dial is just a variable resistor and there is a link behind there if you haven't got it.
Taking a guess (a well educated one) with a part no I think its 82 00 069 069, i've ordered one from renault anyway...
Yep, mines a twisted mount too. Seems more solid than my old 1.2 but still isn't the best.
True I suppose, as the gearbox itself and the syncros were still in perfect nick no wear or damage at all. Just one of those things I guess, still didn't please me best.
Thought the 1.4 uses the JB1 box ?
Can't be that strong as the input shaft oil seal failed on mine after 3 yrs and 28k, i'm sure that shouldn't happen. Could just be a freak event I suppose though, and it drives better than it even has since changing it and replacing the clutch was a pain in the...

Yep, what he said.
If you want to stick with alpine i've got a 9855R hu and a S634 cd changer and they work brilliantly, would throughly recommend both.
If the dynamique is a Ph2 (i.e <04) then it'll be using the old system for the screen and stalk controls, whereas the 182 uses the new canbus system so the hu won't work as its not compatible with the screen and stalk and vise versa.
You'll need a tuner list hu to fit the dynamique if its a Ph2...
