Does this gear linkage look bent to you?
I’m trying to compare it to a google image, mine has a lot of turns/ twists, and does hang down quite low under the car.
It’s going into a specialist soon to be looked at, so it maybe a good idea to buy a spare one ready to swap.
(172 mk2)
Thanks
Hi all!
I’ve been on this forum since 2004 and have been through more Clio sports than I can remember!
I think 2 mk2 172 full fat (now this is 3) 172 cup, titanium 182, racing blue 182, iceburg Clio phase 1, white 197 and a nimbus 200 which I sold 2 months ago for a Mercedes.
Well I have just...
Hi,
Is anyone available in the Manchester area to fit a ball joint before Thursday for me?
I should have the part by Tuesday. My MOT garage don’t sound too confident..
Thanks
I am finding various part numbers for Clio 197/200 lambda sensors. The one i need sits near the manifold. A Bosch one will be okay, or genuine Renault.
Thanks
Picked this up a few weeks back. I have had a couple of 172's and a 182 in the past, now decided to move onto 197.

Afternoon! I'm attempting to swap a broken drive shaft for a replacement. The big nut on the centre of The wheel.. Is this a reverse thread? It's V tight! Rob
Sold my 182 two weeks ago, had six clios in total since 2004. Thought i would buy something 'different'
Only tend to use the car the odd weekend, so something expensive wasnt really on my options list.. Ended up buying this for £peanuts! :)
I have some strange addiction to these cars!
The problem is, the heater blowers fail to work, the panel lights up fine.
I have tried following a guide on here about linking out connectors 1 - 5, which has made the blower come on 'full pelt' Does this confirm the 'Heater Resistor Panel' is at fault?
Hi Cs
Ok, just got back from travels and trying to get my car road worthy again. The clio had an MOT this morning and failed on the following:
FAIL:
-Offside front (broken) Coil spring (I have standard springs and suspension)
OTHER Advisory Items:
-Offside rear position lamp...
Shopping around for 182 shock absorber part number 8200342846 (Cup suspension) best price is £29.08 + VAT/ postage (Genuine Ren part)
For two, i have been quoted £76.34 inc VAT posted. Is that a good price?
Had a great weekend away with the g/f over valentines, staying in Keswick, Cumbria. Found a good excuse to venture out and play on some roads :D The B5252/5289 (Whinlatter pass) between Keswick and Whitehaven, via Buttermere and Braithwaite was stunning! Taken with the crappiest camera phone...
During the week i stripped down the front bumper and top slam panel in order to fit a new air con rad. The problem i have now; the Air con pipe shown on the picture rub's on the slam panel. It's very tight! Have i fitted the panel correctly? The bloke came today to re-gas the system and noticed...
Has anyone had problems with their shift light not illuminating once nearing the rev limit? I don't recall mine illuminating to acknowledge a gear change. My 172 used to come on around 6k revs. The 182 however, when you start the car up, it illuminates with the other ignition lights, but not...
Just sat about with my window open, two scally's have just gone past the drive.
"ahhh daz check dat TT out innit, SICK! And look der's wanna dem clio 228 turbos fings- s**t yeah!"

Just installing my stalk adapter for the alpine unit. Where i've connected the wiring adapter (3) into the car, it connects to the wire (1) Does anything connect to (2) - the old socket on the back of the clock? When i turn the stereo on, nothing appears on the screen bar the time and outside...
I want to control my new Alpine headunit via my steering conrols on my new 182.
I removed the wiring loom (shown in picture) in 2007 from my clio 172, which had a sony headunit.
My question is, will this autoleads(Model number 099-X01\X12) control the alpine unit, or will i need an adapter to...
