just a quick question.ive now done 5k miles with my 172 engine in and im changing the oil to keep it nice and clean.last time i used fully synthetic 5w40 but the guy in the shop just sold me castrol magnetec fully synthetic 10w40 will this oil be ok or is it too thick/thin?thanks

today i drove my car for the first time properly since i done the conversion.everything was great it drove nice.all the computer was working.the miles per galon was climbing past 35mpg and i was chuffed! BUT!...on the way home from our 80mile round trip i went aroung a roundabout and the car...

right today i thought id wire up my front lights because when idid the conversion the new loom didnt match the front light connectors....so i did it but now when i go to start it the immobaliser is kicking in!i dont know whats happenin!im gutted!it was starting first time every time now it wont...

well i bought a set of standard shocks for the conversion and on the top rubber one says 1.4 and the other says 1.6 i know this isnt anything to do with the engine size but is it a measurement or something?should they be the same numbers if their a pair?because im having trouble with the drivers...

has anyone got a pic of a decoder ring for a 172?i have installed the new dash and wiring loom and im not sure if ive missplaces the decoder ring or if i didnt pick it up when i bought everything.isit the plastic bit that clips on to the ignition barrel? thanks

i was just wondering can you run a car without a fuel pressure regulator?because im in the middle of a conversion and my fuel pump hasnt got one built in so will i need one?or can i run it without for the time being? any help appreciated thanks

when i purchased my 172 engine the guy sed the ecu is atatched to the engine loom.but when i started taking my dash and centre console out today i noticed a silver box by my gear stick.is this the ecu?or is this somthing else?if it is the ecu are they under the bonnet on a 172?

i just wanted to know wether the bolts on the 172 shocks are the same as they would be on any othet clio?because when im doing my conversion i want to know if i'll need to get the shocks aswell?or will my shocks bolt onto the new 172 hubs?thanks

i recently purchased a 172 engine, gearbox and loom ect..and i also had the interior thrown in:D so i thought id show you lot what kind of sleeper its going to be!!!!;) excuse the dirty car its too cold to wash it!
