Easy to do, undo the fuel rail guard and its on the bottom left on the front of the engine. Is a big bolt looking thing with wires running out of it. Hard to get a socket on I unclipped the sensor at the other end and used a swan neck spanner threading the wire through the hole on the spanner...
I think you may have adjusted them off the end and slipped off
The units do self adjust for weight in the far but they still need setting correctly as a start point, if you over turn the adjuster with an Allen key it can go right off the end and fall down slightly, the reason they too high now...

while i was running the pirelli new i also had some yoko parada spec 2's on my spare wheels (also new) so was able to compare those, for the money i was happy with the pirelli but for the extra i liked the parada spec2 dry/wet,
soft compound on the pirelli something like a 100 or 120 wear...
ran a set of 4 p zero nero and lasted about 18 months, the hankook evo v12 have better grip but that maybe down to comparing old worn pirelli against new hankooks so maybe unfair.
Perhaps shut the door as your at the side of the road with cars still passing and you prob didn't have a high vis jacket in so prob a safety thing for you and him although admit maybe he could have been a little nicer about it, I'm afraid any aftermarket exhaust is a technical infringement under...
