used a 'Bilt- Hamber Auto Clay' I had lying around. There are 3 different 'agressions' but mine doesn't say which one it and all the packagings on their website look the same, regardless of which type!
My Williams has been off the road for a few months and foolishly left under a tree. I spent hours washing the car this afternoon getting all the sticky dust off, but the paintwork on the bonnet looks messed up, no matter how much I wash it.
I can't get a very good photo of it but it looks...
I've been experiencing increasing problems with my battery, starting with a red battery light on dashboard but eventually ending up with battery dying out while driving.
It may come down to a number of things including alternator and tired battery, but I want to eliminate the possibility of...
No, it does nothing. Doesn't even try to turn over. I was just wondering if there was a simple reset switch (that some cars trip if the fuel gets too low) before I tried other things?
Have tried jumpstarting and starting the car while rolling down hill just incase the battery was low, but with...
Stupid I know, but I think I ran out of fuel. From stationary, the car wouldn't consider turning over, no sound at all when turning the key. Have put in another 3 litres of petrol but still nothing.
After Googling, it appears some cars have an automatic cut off if the fuel gets too low...
Is there any such thing as a rollcage that wouldn't require any alterations or leave any marks on my near mint Willy 3 should I later want to take it out?
I see that you can get bolt-in or weld-in. Does that mean that the bolts or welding has to be done to the car body too or just within the...
I've not heard of losing just a couple of years no claims, always used to be you'd lose the whole lot. Not worth it. PLUS with every new insurance application / reapplication you have to indicate if you;ve had any accidents over the lat 3 years, putting your insurance up even more.
Just settle...

1. It has a BS6658 TYPE A/FR (fireproof) red sticker. Can it be used for:
a) Car trackday?
b) Motorbike trackday?
c) Car racing?

I've loved my Clio mk1 1.2 for 3 years, but the cambelt snapped on Sunday morning. With 3 years NCB I can afford to upgrade now. Hope I can find an equally reliable example. Tried Pistonheads and eBay - just a few to choose from - thought I found the perfect, but was sold 3 days before... : )
Might as well get the 16v then. Insurance is the same, price is the same, and has the brilliant bonnet vent! Anyone selling one in A+ condition and in Williams blue?
So there are absolutely no short or long term (>100,000 mile) financial or performance disadvantages to buying a mk1 16v 1.8 compared to the same in 8v?
Just something I read elsewhere. They were saying that because 8v engines are more common, they're more available / cheaper to replace and an average family car mechanic would have more experience in repairing them.
Thanks cat171. I visited your website 'Compare the Market' last week, but couldn't find you anywhere?!
I get the feeling that most brakelights are the same and the LED ones come in the same flavours - either with one electrical contact or two. As you can probly tell by my posts I don't have a...
Clio was the last car blatently just a letter or two away from an intimate part of the female organ.
Volvo = Vulva
Fabia = Labia
Clio = Clit
Poofs tend to go for a Venus.
There's loads of discussion on CS about whether to lower 40 or 60mm, but many don't seem to take wheel size into consideration.
I have a Clio mk1 with 15" Wolfraces with the thicker style tyres and am wondering how much to lower by. As the wheels are only an inch bigger than standard, they...
A brake light has gone so I want to order a new one from eBay. Are these a standard size used in other cars too? What should I be looking for (keywords etc)? The last time I got the right size but the wrong type which made a light come on my dashboard. Presumedly I need a clear one as the casing...
