Hi Mate
The whole disc with abs ring fitted and bearing pressed in was £37 + vat per disc. I suppose you could take the abs ring off, its just that I read on here somewhere, someone saying you can just put the disc with abs rings on a cup.

Here you go mate:

I know cups don't have abs rings, but I pretty sure that the discs with abs ring will still fit.

Right, here are the pics, I've done a bit of a guide too (I know there are other guides, but I thought this might help someone)
1. Jack up car and use axle stands
2. remove wheel
3. remove two 17mm caliper bolts
4. remove caliper and pads (I managed to remove whole caliper with pads and pins...
Here's the link: http://www.brakesint.co.uk/
Click on the shop now button search by you car and engine size.
I paid £37 +vat for each disc
I'll get some pics up, when I get the images off my phone

Just to let people know I did a oil change and rear pad and disc / bearing change over the weekend. The oil change took me about 30 - 45 minutes, and was a piece of p**s. I also changed the rear discs/bearing and pads and this was also a very easy job, I literally undo the 30mm hub nut and the...
Hi mate, yes the fan works, it kept switching on and off in intervals (another problem was for me, I was expecting the fan to be quite loud when it kicked in, but it was very quite, so I had to keep looking at the fan), and the temp gauge just sits a little over the half way mark, like it did...
Cheers for the reply's
I spoke to one of the lads at Birchdown services (very helpful lads, did my cambelt - fantastic service) and I explained to them what I have done, and I've done everything right.
The problem is, everyone says you need 7 litres for a coolant change (which you do if you...
No, but it did when I but the air con on.
Since I've had the car, I don't think I've ever heard the fan kick in, my I've never got it hotter enough.
How long does it take to kick in, with out the air con on??
Thanks
Darren
I've just changed my coolant, I've warmed the car up, and the coolant in the expansion tank is not dropping. I've ran it for a good 1/2 hour now.
I have this funny feeling I may not have dropped all the old coolant. The hose I undone to drop the coolant is the one on the radiator at the...
I spoke to a guy at renault today and he said I needed 6 litres of the renault type d coolant and 1 litre of antifreeze for my coolant change.
I thought it was 7 litres of the renault type d stuff only?
I've got 7 litres of this stuff for my coolant change tomorrow, so do I need a litre of...
I think I might have to get the ones from renault, can't seem to find them anywhere.
£5.76 for two rear hub nuts , which probably cost them 20 - 40 pence each (if that)
Darren
Does anyone know where I can purchase a set of 30mm rear hub nuts apart from Renault?? (Renault want £2.88 inc vat each, which I think is very expensive)
Thanks
I'm going to be changing my coolant soon.
These are the steps I’m going to take:
1. Warm engine up (to open thermostat)
2. Remove (unscrew) coolant expansion cap
3. Disconnect lower radiator hose and drain coolant
4. Connect lower radiator hose
5. Open bleed screw...
cheers for the comments, pretty chuffed with the overall look of the car.
If I can find a renault splitter cheap enough, I'll swap it, but for now I'm happy with cupra r splitter :)
Painted my calipers and fitted my new wheels:
Really impressed with the wheels, I think the black and silver go well.
No doubt this will not be to everyone's taste...
If anyone is wondering, the splitter is a seat leon cupra r splitter.
All comments welcome!!!
Darren
To be honest mate, I tried a few different types of fuel, i.e. tesco, asda, sainsburys etc... and I find that my 172FF runs much better on shell v-power.
The thing I noticed with v-power is that I get more mpg out of my car, plus my car runs smoother on this compared to the other petrol...
I'm going to be changing my disc's at the weekend.
When you wind the piston back, how far do you wind it back? all the way until it stops, or just until you can get the new pads and discs?
Also, does anyone have a price and part no. for the hub nut, or should I just re-use the same one thats...
Just wondering if anyone has purchased the rear brake disc with abs ring and bearing's from Brake International (part no. BDS6392)?
If so, whats the quality like? might purchase some at the weekend...
It's only £35.52 + vat for each side (£83.50 for both sides including vat). This seems...
Hi,
I've just fitted a Magnex Twin exit cat back exhaust system last weekend. The car is running great, but the exhaust just keeps hitting the heatsheild where the pipe bends over the axle. (to be honest it looks like a bit of a bad design)
Is there any places in the northwest that can...
