Photos of bulbs (only 2?) and the back of the control panel- I did test each bulbs continuity with a multimeter, nothing, yet the filaments look OK, weird
Ok, thats cool. I have taken out the heater control panel and checked both bulbs filaments and they are fine but am not sure what wires to check for, I even looked at the circuit board inside but can't see anything suspicious.
The bulb mounts themselves are strange because you can't actually...
Yes, dial heater controls. I am guessing its a loose connection then! Thanks for the quick and detailed reply.
I'll probs take a look at the relay some other time, but now I know where it is, thanks
Any idea about the earth for the fog lights? Do they earth with a few other components too?
Sam
Hi everybody,
The backlight for the heater controls has completely gone out after being on and off intermittently. I've looked in my Haynes manual and haven't really found the light in the 'interior lights' circuit. Closest I've found is the cigarette lighter light- and that seems to be a...
Haven't been on here for a while but my friend has just bought an 02 plate 1.2 16v Clio Dynamique and has had a problem with his clock on the dash.
Basically it stays on after he turns the ignition off and takes the keys out then locks the car. He did just fit a different head unit but I...
Have now done that door completely with Second Skin and cut away door card to allow direct speaker fitting to the metal door panel with a MDF baffle. Sounds pretty nice now! Also got some 172/182 door handles coming tomorrow hopefully for the last touch on the doors.
Just gotta cut the other...
Somehow i managed to get it off on the other door but I sort of pulled it off and put it back on. The haynes manual just says 'use a flat bladed screw driver and unclip the three clips'? I've tried and I don't want to ruin it and I want to get the sound deadening for this door done tonight...
Blimey had a look at that H/U, looks pretty sweet! I like the Ipod interface and the UI on the screen, very nice!
Just got some Second Skin deadening and some 172/182 door handles for my Dynamique. Will be slowly adding little bits to it but won't go overboard as I want to get some rear...
Don't worry about it. Didn't realise how helpful the Alpine parts line was. For the trim surround it came to £8.47 plus P & P for anyones info, just call up their parts number! Seems like they have a pretty good stock of everything
Sam
I have to agree with you the fact it is a pretty small engine so I'm not going anywhere too fast!
So would this sort of set up reduce the spongy-ness? When getting new discs and brake pads is it always best to get the braided lines because thats another £55? Is there any set up that would be...
I have been trying to find a trim surround for my old 9850Ri. The closest I have come to the part is this:
http://caraudio.ie/view_product.php?partno=33C04102K01
In the item description it has a list of HUs it would fit (mine is not there) but surely it would fit mine? It can't be that...
Hi there,
I was thinking about upgrading my brakes for the next service/ point in which I do something to the car. I don't do track, I only use the car on the road.
Have any of you guys heard about or used OMP discs? What pads would work well with them? DS2500s? Greenstuffs? Is it necessary to...
Well I'm only 18 and I'm only looking for a few small things, I probably won't get seats or a steering wheel but am interested in things like the sport door handles, gear knob, maybe the velvetty looking door fabric, are these things easy to install, are the door handles even interchangable...
I really don't want to do that! lol! Just literally tiny things, like you suggested making it look like a sport, what kind of things are different in the sport? and that are changable?
I have a 1.2 dynamique 02 and I feel like I want add a bit more flare to interior, not drastically but just to add a few touches here and there. I was wondering what you think are the top most effective things to improve the interior styling, or make it feel more luxury/refined. And where can I...
SO which ones are you actually selling Dan? The ones you showed the TR525csi don't exist on their site? The only ones close to that are the TR525cxi which are coaxials?? Fill me in... lol
Having second thoughts and some more research
- I think my max price is really tops £90 now!
- and I can't seem to find the focal or helix in the UK, where did you find yours????? How much?
Anyone with anymore information? Thanks, just I need to make some sort of decision, cause I'm not experienced with all these brands and different models!
Sam
I'm going to be using a Alpine MRP-T130 2 channel amp for powering some new front components. I should be also getting a Alpine CDE-9850ri HU to go with it.
I've come up with a range of Components that would probably fit:
- Hertz Dieci DSK130
- Infinity REF 5020cs
- the Pioneer Renault Customs...
It would be nice to mount it in the boot but seriously my drum kit needs all the room it can get and sometimes I put extra stuff in on top of that aswell!
There's a plastic luggage frame thing under the passenger seat, can that be removed to accommodate the amp? I think theres one screw at...
I've narrowed my choice to these now after looking around:
HU: Alpine CDE-9874RB with ipod connector and steering controls (about 150)
Amp: FLI Audio Loaded 400s 4 channel amp (60 pounds)
Front: Pioneer Custom Fit Clio Components (front) (70)
Rear maybe: Possibly some replacement Pioneer...
Thanks for all your answers, I'm checking out that link as well for all the basics. Always good to have knowledgeable people guiding you before buying! I'll probably end up buying an amp because of the way it delivers power and takes of the stress from the head unit.
Thanks,
Sam
I'm wanting to upgrade the stock HU in my clio and get the custom fit comp Pioneer speakers. I've already heard people saying amp the speakers instead of purely using the HU but how much difference will it really make? I am new to all this and only know the very basics of fitting an amp so would...
+1 to sheppardspie remedy to the rattling/creaking sunroof, I just used a hose from an old syphon filter that seems to make the sunroof get a tighter fit. It's an easy job I think. To stop my leak I simply clean all the seals and put rubber/silicone lube on the main seal (the one that the glass...
