    Snapped Timing Belt

I bought mine with a suspect timing belt failure, thats a 2003 car with just under 60k on it. Cause of failure was part of the aux belt getting inside the timing cover. I had one in 2 weeks ago with just over 60k on the same year with the same problem.

    888's or A-048's?

I ran a048's on my saxo track car and loved them but they were expensive. I run 888's now on the Clio and cant fault them for the price they are. They were £65 each from Camskill last time i checked and if i ordered 4 i got free postage. Chris

where to get a good exhaust for my 172cup

I have a Piper system on my track car that comes with the 182 trim for the bumper. Will work out more than £350 with a decat but is a really nice system.

any1 got underneath pics of gdi/piper sytem for 172

Ill see if i can get some pictures of my piper one tomorrow whens it on the ramp. You may fine they didnt cut the bumper in the correct place and had to "modify" the exhaust to fit the bumper cut. I fit piper systems every day to all sorts of cars and they are always a good fit.

Parts Required for Timing belt change?

I've tried the "mickey mouse" tools and as Fred says there are useless....the D shaped one just bends and causes your timing to be out. Ive now got the full renault set and they are far superior than the cheaper alternatives.

    My 172 on Coilovers

I think the springs are quite soft as we were getting cathing problems when going through certain corners at donington and mine was only lowered 30mm Im not sure where ours was catching as that was the least of my worrys by the end the day as you know!!!

Every Piper exhaust ive fitted has fitted perfect including the one on my 172. Wouldnt expect the 182 one to be any different fitment wise.Should be a quality exhaust

What coilovers for my 172 for £500 to £600 max...

Ive just put a set of the Vmaxx coilovers on my Cup and they seem ok to be honest for the price. They give you quite range of lowering on the front though the backs dont go down as much. Ive just lowered mine 30mm for the minute and its only a little harder than the standard cup suspension...
