Generally I fancy the discrete look but I must say that I did like the Yellow!
Taking the cover of my engine and changing cams during the winter. Im thinking about doing the same thing on my car. What preparations must be made and what colour do you use to make it last?

yeah looks better and means can fit the coil pack on a proper bracket a little bit lower

carl you could smooth it off a little bit more,
the ridges between the cams and the brackets for the plenum (holding old coil pack)
unless you mounting coil on top instead of side slung like DAZ who has it on the themostat housing.
if you want me to get a better pic of the smooting i have done on the cams let me know, also the 182 or the 1.4 has a breather plate with no carbon canister outlet

Cage fitted.
MSA spec 45mm cage, same spec as cup racer without bars to struts and the bar behind seats (can be added at a later date if we want to use car for competition use).
Also going to fit gusset's to the cage.
Will be fully sprayed white with the rest of the interior sprayed black again. Wiring covered in temp. fireproof wrapping so didnt get damaged when welding.

We have a bracket that we had made up for it, so we have everything we need. Just put of fitting it till the new engine is ready.

Wanted to follow the cup racer spec. The guy who made it wanted it to follow the a pillar. The cage can have strut bars added at a later date.

My shoulder width is my main problem, i have 98%tile shoulder width. Most car companys design there cars to fit a 97.5%tile dutch male. so sholder wise im on the limits of there design package.
And as carl says im not the smallest of people any how.

What have you used to space the interior handles away from the door panel? I know Renault Sport sell spacers from the Super 1600 Clio's, but they want £30 each!
