nah, nothing has been touched on the ICV, the unichip is seperate piggy back as u well know. anyway the blanking chip refers to that, to simply cut the chip out, all i have to do is disconnect the main plug to the brain and fit the blanking chip in its place, this reverts the car to oe ECU...
well thing is, if u fit the blanking chip in, (takes 2 mins) it doesnt do it, or does it ever so slight, but nothing like when the uni is in, engine wobbles ALOT, gearstick, and sometimes drops from 900 to 8, then 7 and stalls. but thats only happened 3 times so far, maybe 4.

nah mate, the idle still sounds like its got wild cams in.....all over the shop.
but them denso idriniwotsits did the trick on the dodgy fire up, heh old plugs were worn down to less than 1mm.
ive given up on the idle with velos tho, they say theres nothing they can do cos they dont actually...
hmmm i gota say, 1k is way too much for a wiliams lump. 400, maybe 500 at the most for a low miler in good condition, high compression etc.
but end of the day, hes bought it, so enjoy the 2.0 toque, so much nicer than the 1.8 engine.
id never go back, kinda like driving a non power steering...
its for the trip computer........to cycle thro all the options on the digital display.
shows mpg, miles to next fillup, outside temp, average speed and something else i think.
the non trips dont have the button at end of the stalk. and dont have digital display, just a needle fuel guage.

the 4 is an awsome car tho mate. and alot rarer than the rest of em.
mates got one, dont look as hard as the ones with huge arches but the vent is alot nicer on the 4
hes only slightly tuned engine, water cooled, unichip and straight thro blitz and he ran a 13 second quarter mile at pod 2...
i doubt ud even notice the difference by gettin a williams box mate
16v one will be fine.

1.8 box mate, standard 19 16v one.
i was really surprised when we had it rolling roaded at nobles, up against another 19 16v with full williams engine, mine was only behind it by 4bhp which is neither here nor there.
i was actually up on torque over that engine.
not bad when u compare the 2...
last time it was rolling roaded, 166bhp with close to 150lb torque
thats with a unichip and straight thro exhaust.
previously rolling roaded at nobles where it hit 156bhp that was with hill power chip and scorpion cat back. not bad that i thought, 156bhp with the cat still on it ;)

yeah dont think anywhere close to 180 @ wheels mate, but im seriously considering the 33mm valves, that with the 2.0 kent sports R cam (11mm lift) should see some awesome gains.
its my next item on list engine wise, need a bit more kick from...

yeah i was gona use em till they quoted me 150-200 for just the section from the backbox to the downpipe.......i mean its only pipe lol

the tail design has f**k all to do with the performance of the system. be it 1 inch or 12 inch.
its the bore of the pipe and muffler that is gona be yay or nay.
on n/a cars - lets say a valver - u cant got anymore than 2 1/2 inch on bore size.
better to keep it at about 2 1/4 as standard...
mint mate - they seem to have really good prices, 400 all in for unichip
1600/1700 for tbs fitted.

they are in burton on trent up midlands way mate
unichip is a piggy back ecu chip mate.
u can set pretty much anything u want thro it....best chip for that kind of money really.
