I hate to reference the r5 gtt twice in this post, more so in comparison to an F40 but I think thats an 1980s turbo thing......its the smell of burnt oil.
Personally I love that smell. All GTTs smell the same and its true of every Grp B rally car Ive had a smell of.......not that I'm weird.
Modern turbos are b****cks.
On off 1980s power for the fcuking win or NA. M cars should always be NA powered, this is a fcuking travesty! I dont care if its good. As far as I'm concerned, the V10 and V8 were the last of their breed. RIP.
If it must be turbo bring back the C1J pushrod 1.4 8v...
Don't bother.
Used to have one when I had my 182. Felt massively down on power and was a total coont to fit. Never got it fitted perfectly either. Did make an immense amount of noise though.
Guy at work had one of these. Oddly enough he is a biker too, had a complete lemon literally went wrong every week.
I do love that car though, interior looks lovely. Red dash ftw, just like my bike lol.
Look at what Bear has said............Its truth!
You need vastly VASTLY differing power levels to noticable pull away in a short distance. No amount of pulling carpet out or seats will change that. LOL
Actually LOLLING at the epic failure.
So a nicely run in turbo golf which probably makes more power than it should VS a car that notoriously makes UNDER power even when run in. You still maintain that you 'flew past'
