I did 1200km on Monday. Marburg Germany to Luzern and a bit. average speed 117km/h. Forgot to check out the petrol mileage. No sore back...or any other complaints.
It sure is fun pulling away from the Mercs and BMW who expect to overtake the lowly Clio when the traffic clears...
I saw that Espace last summer at a showroom on the Champs Elysee. It is quite impressive in the flesh...
Ford has done the same the same with a Transit from time to time...

FWD is indeed a lot easier to control on the track, but to master it is another story. With the Z3 M3, or other relativley powerful RWD cars, power oversteer is available, whereas with the Cup, the only real oversteer you will get is lift off or trailbrking. Master than and...
I was watching the S1600 cars the other night and was happy to see that the Clio won the rally.

My advice, not that it was requested, is to avoid R tyres for track work. They are sticky and will make you faster, but you will learn more on a slippier tyre. You should save some money as well.
Get used to sliding about on the regular tyres and youll be a better driver for it.
I did over 2600 track miles on my Willy with original dampers. The car had over 100,000 miles on it! It still handled quite well although doubtless it would have handled much better with fresher dampers. It did wiggle about a bit on sections where my Ragnotti is quite stable, but the Willy...
Ive read that it seriously reduces the mileage at high speeds and would like to hear from anyone with hard figures.
I am lucky enough to have to spend a fair bit of time at 220 or thereabouts and if the Group N ECU causes really bad fuel consumption at those speeds, I might just pass on it...

The odds against a double blowout occurring due to a manufacturing defect or poor mounting are astronomical. Chances are that either a pothole or the like was the culprit.
I lived in Ireland and can assure you that double blowouts were quite common there. Potholes hidden in puddles were the...
My Ragnotti has door locks on both sides. Bonnet release on the left of course...
They must have figured that with the weight saved from deleting the rear wiper, they could well afford locks on both sides...
Cupdriver,
I didnt realise the Cup had a rear wiper. The Ragnotti doesnt!
To teel the truth, I really miss a rear wiper now that winter is here.
I wonder if there are any other differences...
Whatever about the prices and all; I can recommend the seats. I have had two of them for about 3 years now. They are incredibly well built and adjustable as the kids grow.
My Willy was slower than my Ragnotti around the ring but was actually quicker in some places, probably due to lighter weight and gearing differences.
The difference over 20km amounted to about 25 seconds, but with better tyres and newer dampers, the Willy would certainly have been a bit...
Gav,
Actually Im Ed. Just thought that my cars moniker was a bit more appropriate for this forum...
It was very icy for me this morning. 50km/hr for the most part on my favourite country roads...
The ring should be opening in early March. You really have to experience it. Last Easter a...
