Have seen several conversions on 172/182 cars using Brembo calipers from 197/225 Clio and Megane. The problem seem to be the standard disc diameter is to small making the manufacturing of the adapter hard. I have seen a solution for this, and looking in the exploded views for the Twingo R2 I can...
Had my Clio looked at and need new brakes all round. Fronts are practically on the metal and the rears are about 5mm left (apparently need doing but will they last for a bit longer? were apparently new a year ago)

Few weeks ago I fit new discs and pads (brembo max + mintex pads). Pads were constantly squeaking (rotationally), took pads out and ground the backing plates down. Cured that
Now they just squeal when coming to a full stop
Any solutions welcome

Not intending to do any track driving so i want a decent pair of pads to replace my current ones, the disks have plenty of life left so no need to a upgrade/replacement. What do people suggest? Don't really see the advantage of DS2500's for road use and on Europarts theres Pagids and Eichers...

Hi people can someone put a link up from eBay for the bake brakes sets please as I no it's best to get genuine ones and want to make sure I get the right ones.thanks
Well i managed to get new bleed nipples so today they all got sand blasted again and then the caliper carriers front and rear got undercaoted in zinc primer.
Next is to get them painted and the rears all built back up and then to get the fronts done.
I need some advice on what brakes and pads to get. I've seen these on eBay which seem good to me but I would like opinions before I buy them. My pads and discs seem pretty badly worn...
Are squeaky brakes the norm with all of them?
My cup chassied 197 seemed to come with and keep hold of the squeaky brakes for the few years I had it and now my 200 seems to have exactly the same issue.
There is absolutely no problems with the way the cars have stopped so I put it down to brake...
Hey
Im currently viewing a braking sport, I was wondering, can I put sport calipers and bolt them straight onto my 1.6 16v? The rear brakes are the same.
I've got braided brake lines etc.
I'm after some new brakes on my clio as they have had there day
Were would be the best place to get them ?
I want half decent brakes but i dont want to be spending hundreds on them as the car will be coming off the road soon ( once i move house ) so i can turbo it and will be upgrading them...
had my clio mk3 about a week now and when im driving along i can hear a slight grinding noise with window down from the rear of my car,
when i apply the brakes it gets louder and it sounds like its coming from the rear brakes BUT the car had a MOT 3 days before i picked it up and no adviseries...
just wondering if anyone knows how i can stop this? pads are all fine, fluid levels are fine, brakes are squeaky under braking all the time and when not braking under low speeds. probably a simple fix just didnt want to waste time trying to figure it out if someone else knows. cheers
hi there,
i wonder if any of you could tell me what problem im experiencing
i fitted new: oem rear discs, front brembo Hc discs and carbone lorraine rc5+ pads all round
everything seems to be fitted correctly etc.
but...
im finding that braking power seems to be hit and miss. in any kind...
It seems the disks on mine have been changed and i have no idea whats on, the pads are not too bad yet so i can leave them for a while but it would be useful to know if possible, plus it would mean i wouldn't have to buy new disks and just change the pads :p
