1.2 16v tappet tick tick

.......i kno a few others have mentioned this! Whats the score?? Sounds like the hydraulic tappets r ticking away nicely! Its not too bad, but slightly annoying! Could it be another trip to Renault for an engine strip??? Another thing, the car is just about to hit 10000 miles. Having had it to Scotland last weekend, it seems to have loosened up more! It pulls a lot better at its hot spots (3500rpm and 4000rpm on mine).

Anyone else got any views or info on these subjects???? Cheers, Tickety tick Rob

Mine does exactly the same, and I went to Renault. The main man looked and listened and said it was fine. Therefore have done nothing about it. Now done 12k and 2 oil changes etc just to makesure everything is nice and clean in the engine.

yeah it seems to run fine, in fact, its still getting better i feel! Just annoying tick tick!!! Good excuse to get the exhaust to make it sound better lol
