172 Cup Stage Rally Car

Went through the debris tonight and found a melted spigot ring! Left it on by mistake by the looks of it and created a 10mm gap after it melted. Damn it!

Nightmare. That’s why I’ve sold all my team dynamics and now got 12 direct Clio fit speedlines. No spigots needed

Bit of an update.
As i was fed up with having the car stuck on the drive with a broken diff, i decided to send it too @bloke to have it sorted.
He pulled the box out and sent the diff back to Gripper to be repaired with a new revised material stub/output shaft and a rebuild.
Bloke also checked over the rest of box, reassembled it when the diff was returned and refitted the box back into the car. Its great to be able to drive it again. I collected it on the trailer as the mot had ran out and dropped it off to be mot'd at its regular garage. It still had worn tyres on from its last rally so failed on those but i had some yokohama s drives at home so ive fitted them to use the car and get the mot.
On to today, as its been 2 years since it was mapped and a good few thousand miles as well has some rallies i thought I would see what its still pushing out so I have been to EFi in runcorn for a power run.

Happy with that and Chris said the slight differences from last time may have just been the tyres.
(Original run was 188/172).
Few bits to tidy/sort and then its up for sale.

Lol. The only other cars I will be getting will be 1/10th scale as they take up less space.
If i was to have that escort it would need a proper garage to keep it in. And i dont have the space.

Selling the rally car but i dont rule out maybe doing a sprint or something in the 197. Its getting mapped in 2 weeks but it still wouldnt be as quick as the old 172.

Nice one I’ve sold my cup and bought a 182 a lot slower than my cup, might end up selling it and getting another cup...
