182 only one exhaust turns black inside

As per title, my 182 has a piper cat back system, but as you look at it, only the right hand side has signs of carbon inside, the left stays relatively clean. Is there a reason for this? Some sort of emission saving system or cold start flap or something? I either have to clean one more regularly or wait ages for both to get dirty!!

Probably the most direct route, so more exhaust gases exit that way...

Fair do's, I suppose thinking about it the exhaust pipes to the tips do exit from the box on right hand side, so yeah left has a foot or so longer to travel...

That's the problem with the systems that are built with only 1 exit from silencer and 2 tail pipes - only one does anything LOL

The proper 182 system has 2 exits from the silencer from what I've seen so even flow out of both

Yeah definitely makes sense, do much prefer the outlet size of piper compared with standard though, swings and roundabouts I suppose :S
