182 overseas map / RSTuner?

Hi guys

I've just ordered a de-cat for my 182 as I wanted a bit more noise without it being too loud and also free up some horsies! (unfortunately I ordered it before properly researching it on here etc and do not want to lose power / torque!!).

I live in Jersey and basically don’t trust / know of anyone with the capabilities to properly map the car and given that the island is full of small windy lanes I really don’t want to lose torque and drivability of the car.

Whilst I am fully aware that I will only get the ‘full’ effects of map by it being on a rolling road and having a custom map done for my car, its blo ody expensive to get off the island and for the sake of a map I can’t really justify the costs.

My question is; is there anyone that offers a map that be either be done remotely or a base map that can be loaded onto my ecu that would mean that with fitting the de-cat I will not lose anything? Obviously I know that there is no guarantee but some guidance / advice (no I can’t cancel the order lol!) would be greatly appreciated!

Also what is the RSTuner I see mentioned a fair bit? Would this help solve my problems?

I'd get an RSTuner, see how it feels.

If you don't like it, put your original map back on and sell the RSTuner on.

If you buy a second-hand one usually all you need to pay for is the Unlock code (assuming you sell the device on and you get given the required map with it), so it could cost you peanuts!
