182 owners - c**k eyed steerin wheel

  Golf Mk6 Oil Burner

Though i would post this because i test drove a 182 with one and mine was like this for first 4 weeks until Id had enough of it ! kept pullin to the right and did feel nervous.

Anyway took into Renault and they straightened the thing up for me, probably a fraction to the left now but not much in it. This didnt improve things greatly but it did stop the car wandering off the right as much. Still felt nervous though.

Anyway, decided to check the tyre pressures and i think the fronts were 38 and back 35. I dropped these to 33 at the front and 31 at the back. The car feels a lot better now ... not perfect but a lot better than it was.

Does drift quite a bit when you hit the power from 1st through to 3rd which is sometimes a little concerning ! but this only seems to happen on an uneven road surface so prob something to do with the mix of tyres and PAS.

its probably a combination of torque steer and the front wheels finding different levels of traction on variations in the road surface. My cup steering was slightly to the right when I got it. Took it back and they fixed it.
