182 - Rear View Mirror Removal.

I've bought a new rear view/interior mirror to replace the wavey one in my 182. Only problem is, I cant get the old one off! 17 year old Jason broke a windscreen on a car doing this, so im a bit wary.

It would appear that the mirror+Mount slide up off the windscreen, but theres a rain sensor in the way!

Any tips/tricks? I tried searching the forums, seems a few people have asked this but no answers!

Used one off ebay mate. Just had a look around, seems like I couldve just got a new one for a bit more...

If its the same as my 172 which i guess it would be. its attached by a slide bracket, which slides upwards, as in slides towards the roof.

I do seem to remember having to remove some sort of module which was blocking me from sliding it off. Remove the module, slide it off, put new one on, then reattach module.

Can anyone recommend a rear view mirror that will attach to the rain sensor? It's currently got a cover cap over. Renault clio 2003

Does anyone know the part number for one for a FF 172 please? (or one for a mk2 that has the rain sensor etc) Mine has delaminated round the edges and looks naff. I got one once for my v6 straight from Renault years ago but I guess I'll have to go give RPD a shout this time?

I did mate got one a couple of months ago, £25 delivered from eBay. Genuine Renault, new old stock for a Trafic van (but it's the same thing as on the Clio's etc) They had four, but I think they've sold out.

That part number in my country brings out Dacia Logan/Sandero parts and can get them for like 20 quid new

Sorry, I don't know. I haven't fitted it yet. It needs a new windscreen, so I'll do it when I get that done. I've been stock piling some genuine bits for a semi refresh (I will do a thread on it too)
