182 replica opinions please

Right, people looking for opinions on my replica which i have nearly finished making. it started off as a year ago as a 02 plate clio extreme with only had 42,000 miles on the clock. This was my first car so once i bought it i didnt want to keep it standard but i also never wanted to put a chav body kit on it. so i decided to make a replica instead. i managed to get all the parts for a good price which include:


Interiour
-172 full interior including dash strips, steering wheel and gear knob
-Cabasse cd player
-Custom made door pods
-Clio 16v door sills
-Aluminium pedals
-Aluminium foot rest

Exteriour

-172 front bumper
-182 rear bumper
-Colour coded side strips and door handles
-Eibach prolines
-Clear side indicators
-New custom number plate
-182 style exhaust (still need some adjustments)
-Oz F1's refurbed in anthracite with 205/45/r16 michelin exalto tyres
-Megane splitter
-Replaced all the light bulbs including main beam, side light and also fog lights with brighter light bulbs.
-Replica side skirts
-Carbon fibre induction kit (i have the caf but need to buy the trumpet)
-Cliosport window stickers
-Sport rear boot badge.
-Genuine renault double spoiler.

Cost of all work done including garage work was under a grand so wasnt that bad tbh.

Still to be done:

1- Silvervisions
2- Sort out the exhaust that sticks out too far IMO
3- Buy exhaust surrounds
4- Paint the drums black and the front calipers silver

All in all i think that it looks much better now. I am looking for peoples opinions and any constructive criticism is welcome. What i am not looking for is people telling me that i should have bought a proper sport. I commute to uni everyday so a sport would not be ideal with the price of petrol these days let alone the price of insurence. This is my first car and i am happy with the way it looks at the moment.

cheers guys for the comments. the spoiler is from the renault body kit. its got renault stamped on it and i beleive it is expensive from the dealers. i got it cheap and it was the right colour so thought why not. might get a cup spoiler but it will have to wait for now due to lack of funds.

Nice car not to keen on spoiler and once again a 182 style exhaust round the spare wheel well doesnt work, would have been better with a stealth or a single pipe Imo.

cheers mate. bazzon mate if i was to go back in time i wouldnt have went for the 182 exhaust but instead would have got a stealth or something recessed. but for the time i will probably just try to get it shortened down to make it look more presentable. keep the comments coming guys.

The front bumper looks a bit ill-fitted and off colour in comparison to the wing!! Tailpipes look like they could be jutting out a bit too much from the bumper.

Love the OZ F1s though! Certainly looks alot better than the standard Extreme

imo i dont like i dont mean to be rude but the exhaust looks too odd, front bumper doesn't fit, sideskirts look odd, spoiler is horrible and the parts you have had sprayed do not look like a good colour match. should just wait for the real thing

It's all about the tiny details.

At a glance all looks fine.

thanks guys for the opinions. i know the bumper needs some work to it but i will leave it for the now. however i do think that its a big improvement on the standard especially interiour wise. i dont think that i will be getting a proper sport for my second car though as i really like the new civic so will probably keep the clio for a couple more years and then upgrade. keep the opinions commin guys

+1 jungle jim on here fitted a sport bumper to a non-sport and iirc the dude had no experience of body work etc and it was spot on, if you paid someone to do this i would take it back and get it sorted as its more noticeable on drivers side, but as said if your happy thats all that counts, all in all it would be a good replica without that spoiler

yeh mate saw jungle jims bumper but i got it fitted before i saw that but planing to get the bumper sorted out but i would need to get it resprayed again which will add to the cost. tbh i dont think that the spoiler is that bad but i have been looking for a cup spoiler to replace it for a while now but they are just so expensive for what they are! i guess the spoiler is temporary till i get a cup spoiler.

As mentioned the front bumper doesn't look like it fits too well.

I'm not keen on that rear spoiler at all. I'd get a renault badge for the back.

It's not a bad effort at all though.

dont mean to burst your b*lls mate but the bodyshop you got it done at should fix it for free as its there fault, if they are a decent body shop they should know that most body kits require some adjustments to get it perfect

Did stevie wonder colour match (or not) the bodykit? Never a fan of bodging the RS front bumper onto standard wings either tbh. It'll be c**k on with a few finishing touches and changes imo.

my car has a twin nice work mate, get the bumper fitting a bit better and the exhaust sticking out less and it will look spot on

yeh i know beef no one actually notices the front bumper in flesh. also the colour coding is not too bad in flesh. think its just the way the light was reflecting on it(uneven surface). what do you think beef mate? u saw it in flesh.

jungle jim yours looks spot on mate and with a cup spoiler it will look like one of the best reps i have saw. hopefully i can get the exhaust and bumper sorted out and hopefully it will look a bit better. thanks for the comments guys
