What an absolutely fantastic weekend that has been with respect to the Trophy Welsh Weekender 2016! A fantastic and friendly bunch of people, a collection of the finest hot-hatches ever made, glorious weather and stunning Welsh driving roads.

I'd like to extend my thanks to all those who attended (either for one day or the entire weekend) for helping ensure this year's event was as big a success as last year's weekender. It was great to see so many familiar faces as well as a bunch of new folks who were able join in the fun. I hope we can do it again sometime

A special thanks goes out to @Tim. for (once again) organising a truly enjoyable weekend with great routes that challenged both car and driver and offered some genuinely breathtaking views along the way. I would also like to personally thank Mr Al for allowing me to be his wing man this year. If it wasn't for this kind gentleman I would not have been able to make this year's weekender! Thanks buddy!

Here's a selection of my photos; many were taken on the road, through the windscreen, and may not be the best of quality as a result. Even so, I hope you can enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Thanks fella. You mean the guy with the Valentino Rossi #46? LOL! He's not got little man syndrome (nor is he a little man!) That's Al - an absolute gentleman, a good friend of mine and my driver for the weekend (whilst I still await the return of my own Trophy). I took more than a few pics of his car for his own album and as a way of thanks for allowing me to join him for the weekend

The scenery did us proud this year. I've been fortunate enough to enjoy these Welsh roads and countryside for 9 years plus now and they were as good this weekend as they've ever been. I can't wait to do it again.

Thanks mate. We got some mixed looks along the way... 99% favourable! Most people didn't really know what they were seeing but would stop and gawp as the convoy rolled past anyway. Then there were the knowing glances and nods of respect from those who did know and appreciate what the Trophy was/is about

Coming from Mid Wales I know exactly where all those pics were taken.....:smile: Those roads are the reason I've only ever bought cars that handle well.... s**t place to live for socialising and nights out but epic for your own ribbon of twisty tarmac where police presence is minimal... :smile::up:
