You have to way it up, whats the chances of them having a real gun. Then what is the chances of them having ammo for the gun. If its a revolver or a pistol.? If they borrowed the gun / pistol, and use it. That then gun / pistol becomes tied that that shooting and therefore the person found with it gets tied to that incident.

Terrible to hear of this incident. Sounds like a random strike by an opportunist thief to me. A lesson to all Cliosporters nonetheless that the "RAID" locking function may have its uses and that our cars are - at the end of the day - just cars.

s**t mate that's bad and it's only 5 minutes up the road from me to! As above, it's only metal at the end of the day and can be replaced but it's annoying as fook that this type of person roams the streets with a concealed weapon for the sole purpose of jacking your motor and possesions yet we're the one's in the wrong for wanting to defend ourselves against this type of person when they break in to our homes.

Hope everything works out fine and the Mrs gets over it all soon.

In terms of locking the car when you get in. I use to do this all the time but I once had an accident where I had to jump out of the car really quick. Can be a pain if you have to mess around unlocking the doors.

Another thing is what happens if you have an accident and you are unconsious and the doors are locked. Might be a struggle to get you out the car or take longer.

The downside on the insurance side is that there will be a deduction of 2 years no claims. Received the courtesy car today, new shape colt something different from my pocket rocket.
