225 bhp B20 ek9 conversion

You're mixing up your B16a and B16b.

not too bad seeing as we dont have 100 octane fuel here, enough for a 1:51 around cadwell on oem suspention anyway!
so i decided to look for somthing else engine wise , decided on a b18, an integra engine. But along came a mate who imports ek9s and had a ek9 with a b20 engine. This is basically a Honda CRV bottom end with a ek9/DC2 head giving good TQ and power. so yesterday i went up to reading to gat my hands dirty!
the b20 had Toda bits (best of the best in terms of quality) and had an invoice for £6300 from japan, this was for the engine and running gear.
It also has an ATS lsd which is a total beast. £1.1k alone!

got a vbox mini and it does 30-100 in just under 10 secs that im more than happy with.

I don't think so, from the little I know about Hondas I know the b20 bottom end will not like vtec and 8500rpm so things have to be done to it to make it hold. I think...........

Everyone goes on about k20 conversions but they involve cutting the tranny tunnel and cost a bomb. For example the mounts alone are £600 odd quid!

I got a bargain. Just priced up the parts in the engine and running gear and it's over 5k...
The toda pistons are £650 alone. Crazy japs!
Not any more there isn't, that was my best mates that we built a couple of years ago. Been broken now and the shell's down south somewhere.

really, you dont need to! they stop making and more power at 9k anyway with std valves and cams ect. also you would need a block brace and they are big money.

I was after wrx sti pace on my ek9 chassis and not going to extremes of engine mods cams, valves ect really. i have that and more, so happy days!
