A Beetle For Christmas...

A very good customer of ours had wanted to do this for his wife for a while as a surprise but was struggling to find a decent Beetle convertible in the spec and mileage he wanted.

Eventually he found a Silver one and we set upon a 4 week quest to pick the colour... yes he has a touch OCD and lots of money. Eventually we found a 3 stage pearl, a custom motorbike colour no less. The materials were fortunes. Set of Scirocco wheels and Pirelli tyres brand new fitted, new brakes, hubs and arches treated, coloured interior parts all re-painted also.


All work carried out at our bodyshop. Still to be cleaned and detailed. It'll be a Christmas Day present to her. Oh they have 6 kids btw.

Tbh I wouldn't even clock it in the streets, looks just like any other beetle to me. I can see the work that has been put in, and the paintwork looks great though!!

That's how he has so much money. He likes restoration. Sorry I should rephrase that, he likes to buy cheap stuff to rebuild and then pay us to do it. I love his attitude.

I describe him as the Sultan of West Lothian. He has so many different cars locked away but doesn't need them or use them. His recent obsession is Mk1 Land Cruisers. We've restored 6 so far.

He has a really old Toyota GT2000? Like a Fastback sort of thing.

My wife used to have one albeit a green hatchback.

I bought her some 18" RS4 alloys for Christmas for it....she loved getting 18" for Christmas .

horrid cars to drive but she absolutely loved hers.

Other than that, it doesn't look any different to any other beetle. Nice colour and finish on the paint though but the guy coulda had more stuff done to it really
