ABC Yas Marina Blue BMW M4

Hi guys,

It's been a while since I posted on here as I've not been as active with our 182 track car, so I thought I'd share with you my new (2015) BMW M4, picked up last week with the below spec -

17k miles, DCT
Yas Marina Blue
Silverstone Interior
Advanced Parking
BMW Adaptive Headlights / High-Beam Assist
HUD
Harmon Kardon
Heated Wheel
Interior Carbon

Remote Activated Exhaust Valve
Exterior Carbon Fibre
Black Grills
Refurb'd black chrome wheels

-----------------------------------------------

Plans so far

Paint Correction!
Carbon Diffuser
MPS4S Tyres all-round
ABC Detailing sign-writing
Ferodo Brake Pads and Brembo Disks
H&R Springs and 12.5mm Spacers
M Performance Exhaust
Colour Code Calipers
Smooth bumper to remove holes for sticker plate

-----------------------------------------------

I know there are a few owners on here so I'd massively appreciate any tips / tricks to know about! @ColinG

Anyway, here are some pictures of it with the new plates on, after a good clean and quick layer of Auto Finesse Glisten..

It’ll have a tracker on it from factory anyway

Nice looking car that! Welcome to M3/4 ownership! One tip I will give you is AVOID H&R springs they do not work well on this platform.

Go eibach, every time!! :)

Thanks Colin, I was dead set on the stance of the H&R and I've ordered them, but could probably cancel..

What's bad about them?

Might have to reconsider..

Your right the stance is superb on them, but they are bouncy, and the last thing an M3/4 needs is extra bounce. Both over here and in the states, hundreds of people remove and replace with eibach and say it’s transformed.

I have to say I haven’t experience them myself but I have AC Schnitzer which is rebranded eibachs and they were brilliant.

Good to know then, I'd like as much traction as possible and those don't sound too conducive to that!

Another little detail you could do is change the illuminated seat badges to the later black ones that say m4 instead of just M, and the black really breaks up the silverstone.

Mine.

Thought I’d give this a little update..

Thanks to @ColinG for the heads up on H&R springs being crashy/affecting handling, I went with some Eibach Pro 20mm’s. I’ve also popped some 15mm front, 12.5mm rear spacers on for a bit of a better stance.

I’ve had a load of coding done by one of the wizards to update the performance software to 2019 GTS settings, so the gearbox, power delivery, steering etc is feeling so much smoother.

Grabbed some pics around Bristol yesterday -

Next on the agenda is a rear diffuser, ABC Detailing stickers and some paintwork to really smarten things up before an extensive detail ?

That’s got the stance perfect! Wise choice to go eibachs ??

What diffuser you thinking? M performance or aftermarket?

Very happy with it, handling even more so! Not trashy at all but I suppose it's quite a small drop.

I'd like one that spans the entire underside of the rear, but don't want to make my standard exhaust tips look out of place... so trying to find the best place for something like this below, any recommendations?

Looks great. The road with graffiti, is that the little crack alley off Gloucester road?
I was thinking down Stokes Croft near where The Maze club used to be?

Car looks so good, congrats.
That's the one.. had some funny interactions with some of the locals ?

  Lots of Scrap...
colour makes the car! not a fan of the interior or the plates but apart from that, with the spacers and springs, she's looking a peach

A few updates on the M4. It's starting to take shape towards how I'd like it sat.. but there's always something else! ?

I"ve had the front bumper resprayed to remove the numberplate surround and the numberplate has fallen off.
New diffuser fitted to complete the carbon.
Chucked a black M4 badge on the back.

It's due to go in next week for colour coded callipers, DS2500's, disks, lines and fluid. All provided by @George@RTR_Parts as always.
