Advice on xenon headlights, broke again after just a month

N/s headlight isnt working, sidelights are fine, the perculiar thing is... just been looking through reciepts I got with the car, on 18/12/08 it had work done on the headlights from an Auto Electrician...

"Removed N/S and O/S headlamp assy due to no dipped beam, traced fault on O/S headlamp to high restion connection. N/S headlight faulty control box due to water ingress, replaced box, fitted new main beam headlamp, bulb tested ok

Total Cost £357.26"

My main worry is that this was only just over a month ago and its happened again, ive just bought a new ballast unit but havent fitted it yet.

Fit the ballast unit and see what happens , they are a common fault

You seen the snow ha cant see it just being a fault after it going after just a month though? What about the "water ingress" could this be the underlying problem?

Yes usualy due to the headlight cover not being fitted back correctly

Thanks, will give it ago tomorrow depending on the snow, need to find the guide to get the bumper off
