Looking good mate!

They do look good in silver!

Interesting following your project, as power wise that's exactly what i'm after. Next on the shopping list is injectors, intercooler, and decat!

thanks!, Its a very slow one at that but, it's getting there!
Power wise it feels perfect, huge difference and im so happy with it!
If you havent already do the air box mod before you get it mapped if you dont want to change to a cone filter

Save some pennies up and get a 250 turbo in there. Same spool but holds boost for longer , and needs less boost. I loved it when I had my r26

Also helps I have a groupbuy at RSTuning going on. :)

To balance the thread RSTunings maps arent generic - the issue some people have is the speed that Paul can map them. If you did your job , on day one its gonna take you a while , same job , 10 years down the line having done the same task countless times before you gonna be a bit quick at it . Same thing here. Dyno time is not equal to a top map.

So CSF has past and it was an awesome weekend, Cant remember how many people i actually said hi too or anything!

Car was fantastic on track, first LSD fitted car I've owned and tracked and i couldnt believe the difference, the grip was great, tyres took a battering but stood up with the abuse! (pilot sport N4's ) Did have one issue and i think it's a breather for the car, dipstick got pushed up a bit so i have to look into that!
few pics i got / stole off of @Gus

Managed to get a new air filter as well so got that fitted up, spool sound is louder which i love, will help out for it getting mapped again when i get the exhaust and FMIC sorted :)

Car was going well round track mate. I was equally as impressed with mine. Can't wait to get some more power, as that coupled with the already awesome diff will improve my pace no end!

I was ment to take you out, couldn't find you at the time! With the power I have it was fantastic, just gotta sort some handling and brake upgrades out and then I'll be happy!
Car looked great on track as well

Thanks @Alistair14, looks much better than the washers at least. Thanks for being a guinea pig!

Anyone else wanting some just drop me a pm rather than clogging up this project thread :)

So the car is now .. dead. great!

Kept blowing the dipstick out underload, and low compression in cyl1, down 40 psi but its quite something. Meaning a cracked piston, ringlands of piston rings are shagged!

Keeping the eye out for a new engine / have it rebuilt with forged internals, OR .. the big or, have a 250 engine put in instead

interesting stuff

Ouch, Thats unfortunate!

I'd do MK3 engine into it, Good for upto 400bhp and will run happily at 360ish on a 20t, Think you have to sort the Feeling out on the MK2 though as the stock system can't cope with that power. A couple of my mates have the MK2 engine in their track spec ones with a "basic" map running 300ish reliably.

thats what im thinking, a good safe 300bhp would be fantastic, im at 270 now with a fair amount of mods, so id get over 300 if i put on what i have already!

I've got a good deal on one, just needing to find somewhere that can sort it all out for me really

Wow had no idea the mk3 engine's could run so much power!! so the initial 300bhp remap on the 250's onwards was really only scratching the surface??

This im assuming is a daily runner as well as track beast, would make sense to buy the mk3 engine, as forged will require rebuilds in the not too distant future... best of luck mate!

Yup, they are a lot stronger than people think.

I'm going EFR 6758 next winter running 420-450 on a stock lump

You will need a larger blower to get much more than 320 BHP.
I’ll be happy with a simple 300 tbh!

Yeah daily and track so, I think it’ll benefit from the better engine really!

Personally i think it's "stage 2" cars with 630cc injectors that are the problem too. The pump is struggling i think.

Not seen a stage 1 or standard Megane do it yet tbh.

What do you class as "stage 1" and "stage 2"?

I'm seriously considering a 225 or R26 next year and I'm a bit unsure now.

Defo have been stock ones that go pop on the meg forums, pages and Mark B would tell me about. Obviously more so the tuned ones as they're under more strain. Don't think it can be pin pointed to a particular issue but definitely seems to be fuelling related - weak pumps, weak ringlands, failing injectors, many miles with semi decent oil/servicing.
Tom's is still going strong on 300+ lbs/ft, uprated turbo, injectors the lot - not forged and absolutely battered! As is Jon's I think?

Im on my third megane and second one tuned. The one I had before the fuel pump failed before my remap no warning car just wouldn’t start.
Fuel pump replaced and mapped to 272hp still with cat standard injectors etc.
Now on this new meg R26 im getting it mapped early next year just adding the final 630cc injectors before the map.

Hearing the ringland failures a bit more these days which is worrying I guess it’s going to differ in different cars due to condition of parts etc.

One guy I spoke to said he’s convinced it’s the different spray pattern of the 630cc but I have no idea but hadn’t heard it mentioned before. It was his theory no evidence mind.

So started talks with Engine Dynamics about either the 250 lump OR forging my engine, im in two minds and very undecided about which route i ideally want to take for now

Plan is for it to be back after christmas (feburary at the lastest)

Forge - once you have more power you will want more and more and you can then be comfortable that it is built for it!

Good man. Not enough efr's being used. I moved from a 6258 to a 7163 twin scroll. Fantastic turbos.

250 engine. Forged is mega bucks and constantly running in and sounds a ballache.

Oem 250 would be my choice
