all engine earting points

i read that there is 3 earths that need connecting in the engine bay, where are they ? In my engine bay theres an earth wire thats been cut and connected to the coilpack wire that leads into the ecu, im not even sure there should be an earth there or not ?

Any help much appreicated as its driving me crazy now !

1, Main Gearbox earth from chassis to box,
2, behind passenger headlight,
3, look towards the back of the box above the diff,
4, driver side close to the brake fluid pot on the 1.2, mine is bolted to the chassis there.

Can get pictures if you arnt so sure

1 and 2 are defo there, not 100% sure where you mean about 3 and 4 though mate, pic of those 2 would be great help

I'd like to know too, had mine checked a few years ago, but never been able to find them all myself...

Remeber i have done a conversion, so number 4 might be slightly different, as the brake fluid is on the passenger side on a sport,

Thanks alot james, will let u know how i get on as im off out now so wont have time to check them till tomoro, i still dont think it is actually an earth tbh tho. Thanks anyway mate ill give them a check over

had a wuick check, defo got number 3.

Number four though... Wheres is it from and where abouts on the chassis does it go to ?
