Amateur Photographer.....

Finally got my act together and took the camera out. Read on how to adjust shutter speed and such and it helped immensely. However, I need to invest in a tripod. Some of the pictures I could only get the right light with a low shutter speed which then led to blur because of my movement :( So next pay cheque I think.

Mods since last time:

Black bullets with yellow 2.0 16v
Rear ARB
Removed front fogs
Braided lines

(Not that you can see the last one lol)

Try using a lower aperture, such as f15/f22 and use manual focus to get them more in focus, as they are a bit out of focus and soft. Also try setting the white balance, as the light is quite yellow.

Other than that, decent work willdot.

More research for me to do. I have nothing to do in the evenings this week so I might try again and post up in here :)

Come to the shire horse pub meet and you will get some tips ;)

LIke I said, I would be all over it but I'l be en-route to Amsterdam with the lads

Photoshop also works wonders.

If I'm ever trying to take "good" pictures, I'll always stick them through photoshop (if needed) to get the levels right

You will get softer images at small apertures like f22. Stick to around f11 ish and you'll be better off.

I'm not gonna lie...it just looks like you parked your car and wondered round taking a few snaps.

What would you want to improve on?

I need to get a copy of PS again as mine fucked :(

Obviously less blurred and I would like them sharper. Thing is, when I was taking the pics, changing the shutter speed, I could see the improvement on the screen but then stick them on here and they look shat :(

How easy is it to take out the fogs?

Remove archliners, get your hands in there. 2 screws for each. Simples.

According to the camera, between 2 and 5. Not sure what these represent (not seconds that's for sure) but the lower the number, the longer the shutter speed was.

That means 1/2 second and 1/5 second. What ever number is there, it's a fraction of a second - so 1/x (where x is what's displayed on the camera)

If it's a second or over it usually has something like 1", 2" etc

And that's way to slow for handheld btw!! Get a tripod! :)

What camera are you using Willdot

Fuji Finepix S something or the other.

Oh I see. I have just bid on a tripod on eBay :D

Car looks good.

I'd also like to improve my night photography too. I end up getting similar results but don't know what to do to get sharper/better quality pics. My camera has a very limited F number adjustment :S

It does. I couldn't find a pic so just did it anyway and so glad I did. :D

The only time I can really do photography is early evenings onwards which means I can't do day time :(

Coilovers aren't priority at the moment because I want decent ones, not k tec, and decent ones cost monies that I won't be able to afford for a while.

It was in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. Just the local free multi story. However, I had a million chavs drive past me. They wouldn't understand what I was doing

lol! Theres a Tesco near me where loads meet up with these very pooly modded cars. they don't even give my car a 2nd look but I expect I could trounce every one of them!

Oh they were all staring at the car but the when they saw me they looked confused. There were some nice cars going up, just didn't like the look of the people driving them (caps, seats right back etc)

/stereotype

The Bury one?? They used to hang out in the car park opposite Cineworld on a tuesday night as i always used to do the cheap tuesday tickets in cineworld and see them with their 'bangin' saxos et al but haven't seen them of late. It does look like the multi-storey there though even has the blue spaces on the top floor lol, nice pics and nice cars, i like the yellow brake pads :approve:

Willdot, car's looking good man.

Your photography skills do need some work though matey, not quite sure what it is... but they're just not lit right and certainly not crisp enough for a DSLR.

Talk to Giraffe, he's quite bang on with this sort of thing.
