Lol! Dave and I nearly bought a black and silver L200 crew cab but the boy changed his mind at the last minute, it'll pull a Clio along without even noticing!

Looks great dude, great idea with the heat shield in front of the brake fluid reservoir think I should do that.

Yeah, petrol. 18 to the gallon towing or not.

:dapprove: I'm led to believe the diesel isnt much better on a tow so not all bad.

5 mins, just use the lifting eye bolt.

Just get a Megane set up (pipes), it moves the reservoir over to the other side. Straight fit.

Got pics, looked through your blog but nothing?

Yea good idea i did the same too, but left the left side open (when viewed from bonnet) to allow airflow.

My fluid was coming out the cap ever since I fitted the ds2500's, never had a bother with the oem brembo's.

The pipes run along the bulkhead, behind the heat matting and fit straight in to where the original ones went.

Strut brace is a little in the way for filling, but it comes with a nice easy rubber strap, we just undo this and pull the res forward a little.

Cheers Tony, easy when you know where to look ;)

Good idea tbh, will look into this at a later date, mines is going to be a bit busy in that corner but you have your pas pump etc there so I should be fine.

Nice rad over the last couple of pages. Still looks a cracking cup, even after a spin off into the mud ;)

Shame you feel disappointed with the RS2. I felt your opinion of it was the exact same as when i had drove with one on.

Piece of pi55, took me 10mins and Jay 5min. That included the time for me to find enough washers to space the bracket out, and Jay enough time to fit the 'P' clips to hold the pipes together.

It's not been a secret, it's been in there a long time.

Bit of an update, copied over from the PMS shifter thread.

I have fitted mine with no issues what so ever, great bit of kit. I have yet to be for a thrash but its great. It took me just over 1 and a half hours from jacking the car up to putting it back down. The only complaints are slight knock on the tunnel going into reverse (this doesn't bother me in the slightest and could be resolved partially with slim head bolts) and the other was some of the plating on mine was missing/badly done (again doesn't really bother me as its not that bad)

I set the linkage by myself but I was up and down like a fiddlers elbow. I have set it up with 2nd at the rearmost point it can be without the spherical running out of movement. The shifter has allowed me to move the seat back two clicks back to the furthest possible distance on the seat sliders I have which I couldn't before. I'm chuffed there are no fitting issues like had been said and thanks to Phil for organising and Pure for making yet another quality product.

I took a few pictures and I have rubbish video's too.

Instead of using silicone like Pure recomend I used sticky back foam as mine will be coming out from time to time.

Snipped and bent back heat shield to avoid contact.

There's no mention of it on Pure's fitting instructions but you actually have to cut standard selector boot to be left with this.

Some had complained of circlip falling out, the end of a 3/8's extension is perfect for seating the circlip (no need for bottle jacks Phil lol)

Quick video from inside. For all you Jessie's that complained of it not returning to centre, mine has started to after only 30 mins of playing.

I also picked up the truck yesterday and got the new wheels and tyres on it today, need to do a 2" body lift tomorrow to make room for the tyres. Loving it so far, TV is a nice touch too.

I have an OPL track day booked for the 22nd so have to remove the RS2, do a bolt check and throw some fuel in and its ready.

Yeah looks mean IMO, pity its two tone though. They are 2" bigger than the 20's that were on there before. Going to lift the cab 2" higher tomorrow for room.

  Cup In bits
Ye need to get rid of the two tone!

I'd love to go bigger on the nav but its bad enough on girl as it is with the beefier tyres.

And the wallnut dash too....boke. I might spray the bottom late summer but don't want to throw away money at what is a cheap tow car.

Shifter looks very nice but why use it on this car and not the race car??

It is for the race car, after all the commotion of them not working etc I had to try for myself. It takes an hour to fit so it will be swapped when its required.

Set about getting the car ready for Saturday at Knockhill

Gave the xenons a quick buff up while I was doing the jeep.

Polished the rs2 and then fitted a new JMS sticker as it was missing when I bought it.

Spun the RARB L brackets round to make it sit up higher.

Wheels off, full spanner check and then quick wash.

Hoovered the inside, checked the fluids, torqued wheels and set the pressures, rain x'd the windscreen as its meant to rain and thats it all ready to go.

Looking good bud

Still waiting on a word back for these brackets, will try get a few more quotes.

Thought you were removing the RS2?

Remember my best time is 1.04.58, don't bother coming back if you don't beat it ;)

I am, just couldn't be bothered to do it before Saturday.

Is that with or without a full interior, tool kit and a lump of a passenger?

Good idea regarding the L-brackets, will this change the rear geometry at all?

No won't change the geomatery with that little movement mate, the closer you get to 90 deg from the beam them it would start to affect its performance.

Thought that was the normal way to have the brackets on the white line? :S

I presume it is as its closest to the axle but its easier to get the bottom shocker bolts yarked up the other way but I had nicked a few speed bumps recently so thought I would swap.

Looking good fella..... ;)

Where did you get the JMS sticker?......mines missing too...

Cheers, if you PM James@S&MWM (JMS's new name) and he will sort you out. Failing that I bought two and could arrange something.

Forgot the window regulator went on the drivers side the other day so got that swapped out and hopefully stopped the glass rattle again. All ready for tomorrow and camping if the weather stays good.

Yeah I'm sure that would be fine, I got soaked last time putting on 4 straps as my mate put a seed of doubt in my head....Cnut. Is that all you ever use?

I'll grab a photo of how I do mine in the morning when I go out to the trailer. I basically just use one strap for each axle and both meet towards the middle of the car so one pulling the car forwards and one pulling it back.

Just put the handbrake on and leave it in gear.

I was SO tempted earlier just for a test but I had a final destination thought of the car exeting stage left barrel rolling after it turned my jeep into a shogun sport spider.
