Bazzons CAD thread.

I thought id start a thread where i can just put a few different CAD images now and agen to save making new threads all the time

As some of you know im a student at coventry uni doing transport design, over the last year i have started really perfecting my Alias and CAD skills.

My current project, im working with 2 other lads so can not take all the credit, i have mainly be doing chassis and structual things but yeh.

there is still 7 weeks to the deadline of this project so alot to do yet and we have a full interior to model

Bored so i thought id throw some more images on here.

Right i have now started a 6 month placement at Landrover doing 3D modelling on alias, been there 2 weeks now, can not really show any work i do there due to agreements and keeping it in house ect. But i have learned a staggering amount in 2 weeks about how to build models correctly ect.

My last project done in a group.

My F1 car dressed in RB colours

And some OZ F1s these i have done since being at landrover so these are built alot better than any other model i have done.

Just been looking at your old threads as inspiration for my final year project poster. I've got a lot of respect for the work you're doing, having worked with Solidworks for a few years I'm nowhere near your level!

Have you got any offers for a full-time job there once you finish uni?


P.S. if you could knock me up a physical set of those F1's I'd appreciate it.

By physical you mean? i can send you the alias wire file if you PM me your email, or tell me what files solid works can open i can re save them and send you them.

No idea i still have another year to go, so it depends on how i preform on placement and what i achieve next year

Lol, I was only messing.. would like a set for my car. Although, I might ask for something for Solidworks in a few weeks to try and learn a few things, but need to concentrate gettng my own stuff done at the mo.

By the looks of things you must really enjoy what you're doing and if you keep progressing at the same pace that you currently are I'd say you needn't worry about underachieving. Good work anyway dude, is interesting to see how everything is coming along (on here and on Flickr).

http://students3.autodesk.com/?nd=m_home You can get free versions of most of the software on there if you have a student Email or know some one that does.

I wuse studiotools 09 atm for the surfacing and either showcase or a program called bunkspeed to render
