That's a Ph1 hitting a wall at 40mph and the damage doesn't look much worse than what he managed to do to his car.

Hitting a stone wall isn't going to need much speed to cause a lot of damage.

Unlucky son. Worse things happen and it's only a car, but then at your age you might want to rethink whether you really need a car atm for the sake of your insurance premium.
