Blockbuster Renting...

Bit of a strange query, but does anyone know if the games from Blockbuster are the genuine deal? By that, I mean do the discs look like they're genuine, or do they have the Blockbuster emblem printed onto the CD?

The reason I ask is thus :

My Dead Space game for the XB360 won't load. I checked the disc and it has a tiny, tiny dent on the reverse, only noticeable in the light. You can't feel it, but you can see it.

I was therefore wanting to rent out their copy of Dead Space, then swap their disc with my own and say it doesn't work, or just not even bother telling them. (I was leaning towards the former, as I wouldn't want anyone else to rent it out and not be able to play it).

However, I can't exactly swap the discs over if they don't look the same.

Anyone know?

LOL. You could just look for me. Let's no go alerting them to the scam.

Well, I'm hardly being a pikey seeing as I forked out £34.99 for it in the first place. The dent was purely a misunderstanding we had.

Dude, SRS, just buy it from a supermarket then swap the disks and say it won't play. If you return it the next day they're not going to think you've played it for ages are they? Easiest way IMO.

What the hell are you doing in here? I thought this was a no girl zone

I might do this, but then that will mean I use my card to pay for the game. Then when I take it back, they'll probably just swap it for another.

Again... Hai!

If they start just kick up a fuss. And TBH, if they give you credit (which I doubt) you'd easily spend it in a supermarket.

Can't u rent it, copy it to the hdd and then use ur disks to play as it only checks it's in doesn't spin it.

I've done this with Pro Evo on Xbox at Blockbuster, and there were no stickers on the disc, in fact, it was identical.

Yo Scutch,

Blockbuster can sort you disks out if they are slightly scratched for a couple of quid they have a machine that does it.

My GF's brother was playing a game and the xbox fell over and scratched the disk pretty bad he went to blockbuster and the machine sorted it mate.
