Blown more coils!

About 300 mtrs from my house this morn the car starts juddering, but worse than id felt before and almost all power was lost, had to coast the car back home(downhill luckily). I had some old coils at home from the last time 1 went.
So called up renault and its going to cost me £42.50 each, apparently these are the 3rd gen so fingers crossed they will be more reliable.

i dont have a top on my ones my ones with they grey tops all went lol 1 pair then the other a month later , i herd its something to do with having ngk sparks but not to sure about that , yea anyway mine have just a shiny black top no cover on them

Mine went a two weeks after buying my car, 12 months on and the £13 ones that replaced them are still going strong.

I always carry two extra with me at all times just incase they ever were to go.

My little bro can get me car parts cheap, these were from Andrew Page iirc.

And yeah pencil coils (with the shiny black top).

Have a look on ebay too..... Theres a load on there, cheaper than I paid for them.

Got my new ones this morning from lookers colchester( got a cliosport discount, 5% i think). The ones i got are brown topped so i shall see how i go.

I had bought 2 full sets of ebay at £10 per coil but they have ended up lasting 3 months-ish before dying. So at least if these go i only work 2 mins from the dealers, meaning its easier for me.

you live in colchester ish i replied to your spotted thing, if so i get all my bits from marks tey autos as there across the road from my work and also they dont try and mug you off ive had thermos, coils, coolant,mounts,brakes everything of him never questioned the price really
