Hi All,
Will be changing the battery on the 182 in the next couple of days, given that Renault want silly money to do it. I've picked up a Bosch battery for £40+vat through a mate in the parts trade, so want to fit it myself.
I have searched the forums and not found much in the way of guides etc.
Could anyone talk me through it? Is it difficult? Anything important i should be aware of?
Also, it is suspected (so the RAC man said) that there may be a problem with the immobiliser too. Before i take the car back to Renault (with no warranty ) will it be ok to change the battery and check that fixes the problem? Is there a risk of damaging the new battery? I thought if i do the battery myself, it will safe Renault ripping me off as they quoted £120 parts + labour?!
Thanks for your help!
Martin
