Chonky. As you say, silver would have been good, but I'm a sucker for silver wheels.

How's you rate the tyres?

Not had a chance to test them properly on the Cup, but I’ve driven an FN2 track car around Snett with AR1’s and then the Clio on NS2R, back to back. Huge difference in grip levels.

Otherwise, a bit noisy, but so is the car... so all good.

Rear arb fitted and set to the less stiff option for now.

Could probably do with a clean underneath. Looks as if the blue finish is lifting off in a few areas that are prone to stones hitting it. Otherwise still looks alright two years on.

Half tempted to just coat it all in Lanoguard to be honest.

Yes I do. It's actually pretty loud. Probably due to lack of sound deadening etc. Would rather something quieter to be honest but I don't drive this enough to care too much.

Do you genuinely find it not much different to stock? I feel like mine resonates right through the car.

I've got an ITG panel filter, and it's been mapped - so shouldn't make a blind bit of difference between the two of ours. I think I am just getting old.

Yeah mine is really quiet but still makes a nice sound over 4k - It's perfect for me as I wasn't looking for a cherry bomb sounding exhaust

I've a stock paper air filter and had the exhaust heat shield removed.

What rear exhaust hanger have you got, maybe it's resonating through the hanger and floor? I've got the red powerflex insert in mine and no drone at all.

I am very invested in this. I'm looking for a non droney, not too loud, but still free flowing exhaust.

I've a 182 manifold, sports cat and KTR resonated exhaust.

I was considering the Piper but at the time, @cjgower put me off as you said it was loud when you fitted it.

I've often thought the down turn exhaust probably doesn't help compared to a normal bumper exit/straight exhaust.

When i had my cup,i think most of the sound/drone came from the cat area/downpipe.I had a custom straight tail pipe made and made no difference.

Helpfully, unhelpful. Because now I REALLY want a straight exhaust exit. That looks great.

Prospeed would sort you out @bowen86

2.5” straight cut tail pipe. Then get a 182 exhaust bumper trim and cut it down to fit the 172 bumper cut out.

So, another successful Spa trip this year. 892 miles, 25+ laps of the Circuit. The car was absolutely brilliant. The best Cup I've owned and probably the most fun I've had on track. The AR1's were phenomenal.

Managed a 3:08. 8 seconds better than my previous year. Actually could have done way better, but backed off near the end as I wasn't actively timing. Also, looking back, I was so far off the line on a lot of corners, so there's work to be done. Sub 3 next year?

There were a LOT of very fast and capable cars. We booked on with Circuit days, and headed to the track to spectate on the Sunday. Always worth doing if you get the chance.

They had accidentally oversold the Sunday and decided to go ahead anyway - the result was a very packed paddock and track. Fortunately, the Monday that we were booked onto was a lot quieter. Still full of very fast and capable cars, so checking mirrors constantly is a must. Even then, you can miss stuff. Just like this. His POV doesn't show it, but I've moved over as he's darted up the inside and we've both bricked it.



Despite this, the rest of the day was drama-free. The car was brilliant, and we're already planning 2027.

Anyway, here's my first YouTube upload since 2024. This was my 'fast lap'. It's hard to take El Rouge any faster IMO because if you change up, you lose speed on exit as it's so steep.
