Clio 138 pads

The sister has a Mk3 dynamique s 138.

Hasnt used it for about a week, gone out today and the brakes judder like hell and wobble the whole steering when applied at anything above 20mph.

Had a look and the side of pads which are visible without taking the wheel off look low but have at least a few thousand miles meat left on them.

Did notice the disks looked a bit glazed with some surface corrosion on them though even after a 5mile round trip which i thought seemed odd.

Any ideas on what could cause this to happen so suddenly?

And does anyone know what pads a 138 needs, putting in 2.0 on most websites just brings up the 197 - is it the same caliper/pad as the lower 1.4/1.6s?

Cheers
Tom

had a good look around and as far as i can tell, the discs and pads are the same across the board of all mk3's except the 197's.

Going to have to get the pads changed tomorrow.

Never done a mk3 before - does anyone have any particular tips - any odd fittings or strange methods renault have used on these or is it going to be pretty standard fare?

Tom
