Bought myself a roof vent to go with the cup racer looks. Haven’t finished fitting it as I’ll let the paint harden over night

I’ve got Anglesey rally track day booked on the 29th of December so should have the car built back up by next weekend

Scoop doesn't look quite right in yellow I know you have yellow in your graphics. What sort of price were the tyres out of interest?

I know it looks out of place. But taking it off now it’s tiger sealed on might be more hassle than what it’s worth.

The tyres are £260 each new but I’ve managed to get a few for £150 a tyre

You could always just mask round it and re spray it. What about if you get chance, change the mudflaps to yellow then it may look more not so out of place.
If you can pick them up at 150 that's not bad at all.

Yeah I’m thinking maybe try a yellow front bumper maybe. Or just spray it blue on the car.

And the Michelin’s were a bargain. I’ve got 14 of these wets now. I should really list some for sale. Got them from Ginetta factory in Leeds

It’s got suspected gearbox failure but it’s staying in the trailer until this red shell goes tomorrow.

If you want it make me an offer. The car runs. Brakes all free. Was someone’s cheap track car

Yeah so the wouldn’t refund me for the lsd as it technically wasn’t there fault. Even though the design was s**t with the circlip.

The 5.25 final drive was manufactured with to much backlash which they agreed to refunding me £500 for it but managed to get them to send me there new revised lsd with has a bolt in plate over the diff cup. It was sent out last week so should have it this week and it will be for sale.

Mad rush now to get the car finished for Anglesey on the 29th not the easiest thing with still having some Christmas shopping to do

Gearbox back from the legend @NorthloopCup He went above and beyond with all the work he did with the Rsx diff resulting in me being sent a replacement diff.

I’ve now gone the way I should have from the start. Gripper diff and 5.25 final drive all bought through Mark along with the gearbox being rebuilt

Subframe off to fit my @BRT Motorsport quick rack, new wishbones from @renaultpartsdirect, powerflex rack bushes and arb bushes.

Removed the old pas system

All built up with a trip to @bloke for a rack bracket for the subframe as mine was knackered and couldn’t find my spares
?

Dash top off the be flocked and some custom carbon covers over the vents to mount my epas switch.

Then on to the worst job. Getting the epas column in with the lower dash in and cup racer cage with the bar across the dash

Not the nicest of jobs but it’s in. Gearbox and subframe back on tomorrow. Then it’s wire up the epas, get it re tracked and it’s good to do a few road miles before Anglesey

I did but couldn’t get my head in properly to see. Got a legth of wood holding the engine from wing to wing. I’ll check tomorrow night when it’s off

Not a good start yesterday putting the box back on.

I didn’t have the little dome insert in for the clutch fork. 20 mins later after smashing hell out of spare gearbox I managed to get it out and into this box.


Got the clutch fork on then realised the lugs on clutch release bearing had snapped off ?

Got a new bearing this morning. Then it was time to get box, subframe, shafts and rack on.

The cars back up and running. Just need to wire the epas up and replace the nut and bolt on the pms shifter because it’s been over tightened. Then it’s road test time

Still haven’t wired up the epas I’d sorted the shifter out. It will have to wait until after Christmas now.
But got sent these today. Epas adjuster will fit nicely to one of the carbon vent blanks

It’s now running and driving. Still no epas yet as it’s getting wired tomorrow morning.

I got the car tracked today and it drives great.
Give it a little blast and you can tell the difference between the new plated diff compared to the atb one. Really pulls you round the corner a lot more

Nice. I wish more circuits would do rally track days. Would be such a great way to get people into the sport, rather than the tired old idea of trying to get people to do autosolo etc.

I've got an entry for the Snetterton round of the MSN championship in Feb, so need to finish off a couple of jobs really.

Fun day yesterday on the rally track day.
I have a strange intermittent electrical issue though. Something was drawing power. So I’d have a misfire and epas would stop working. If the car has been sitting in the queue for the stage the first 10 seconds of the stage it would misfire like hell. Like there was no fuel. After that it would run fine

It was hard to tell because the track was so greasy. I was spinning the wheels up quite a lot on the slower corners even on new tyres. I’ve took it down a dry industrial estate and put it round a few roundabouts and it feels perfect though. Just need to find out what’s wrong with the epas
