Clio 172 Valuation?

Looking at clio 172

Details as follow:
took the car out today, drove nicely. Didnt feel as quick as i thought it would, mind you did have 3 folk in the car. Ive now been told its definatly a 172 and also infomed its a 2004 "53".

What do you reckon its worth?

2004 "53"
1 owner
38k FSH-with full service and timing belt done
New mot
1 years warranty
6 months tax
Tints and 182 alloys
Excellent condition inside and out.

The book says £5500-£5900.

Price of car £5748, reduced from £6495.

wouldn't get 5748 i wouldn't think... i reckon between 5k and 5.5k IMO. a dealer would probably try to sell it for 6k

Yeh i test drove one from a dealers. So that seems expensive even being a 1 owner with low miles and FSH?

wouldn't get 5748 i wouldn't think... i reckon between 5k and 5.5k IMO. a dealer would probably try to sell it for 6k

as for haggling - wont hurt really you can always try nocking him down/ squeezing some more warrenty/full tank of fuel/more tax/car matts out of him. its a dealer though so remember you are very unlikely to get him down to what you would pay for it privately!

Well like i said the car is advertised at £6495 and i have already got him down to £5748 with 6mnths tax.

i think you should have a look around and think about buying a slightly higher mileage 40-60k / older one 52reg say, privately, you can get one alot cheaper than that IMO.

does sound like a nice one though lol sorry.

Ive also recently been looking at an 05 plate clio 182 Trophy in silver, with 39k and 2 previous keepers for £6488.

lol the ads always state different. There's a "182 cup" on autotrader atm... which is actually a 172 FF :clown:

To give you an idea, I Part'xd my 172 in last week.
2003 53 with 31k on clock, not had camblet done. Totally standard, A months tax and 2 months mot, and then gave me £4700 for it, (had to haggle up from £4425) anyway they have it on their website now for £5895.

In regards to the one you've seen - If he's keen to seal the deal he'll take £5500 IMO.
