Clio and Potholes

  MG ZR x2, Polo, CTR
Hey Guys,
Saturday afternoon I managed to spank an alloy and tyre in what can only be described as the Grand Canyon's little brother, 1ft wide, 2ft across and 5 inchs deep.

Aside from my now fubar'd tyre and dented rim, should I be looking for anymore damage? I know when I had a similar incident with my Megane the subframe had twisted.

Anybody else won anything back from the council in these sort of situations??

Just the usual suspension components will need checking, oh and also the tracking as it will more then likely have been thrown out of line.

that didnt even make sense looking back.lol. i can remember seeing it on fifth gear, it might be worth a try you never now.

I tried before after cracking an alloy and they sent me a letter after 8 weeks of letters to and fro saying

Although it is their responsibility to maintain the roads it is not always possible so they cannot be held responsible and therfore I will not be compensated for the outlay of the repair

WTF!?!

Yeah I saw that on fifth gear, lots about photos proving the depth and width of the hole. Nothing about all the paperwork hassle that goes with it going by the above posts.

Im currently hving a claim dealt with from March... Should hopefully get response in a few days (as their date for response was 9th June).
I had the same problem though. Massive pothole, buckled the wheel, popped tyre and put tracking out!
